YouTubers including Zoe Sugg and Jim Chapman have auditioned to host X Factor spin-off The Xtra Factor, it has been claimed.
The Sun reported that Zoe had been spotted in London recording a feature with an X Factor camera crew.
A source said there was “serious interest” in signing Zoe up as a presenter, according to the newspaper.
However, broadcaster ITV denied the claim, and Zoe dismissed it on Twitter.
I don't know where this has come from? I'm definitely not 😂 https://t.co/vblopCQrzP

Zoe isn’t the first YouTube star to be connected with the role.
On Sunday, Jim Chapman told Now magazine: “I have been for a couple of castings already… I think they’re still a bit nervous about bringing a YouTuber on board.”
Jim also revealed that Zoe’s brother Joe had attended the Xtra Factor casting with him.
The Sun speculated that creator Simon Cowell is keen to sign up a YouTuber, to tap into their huge online following and boost ratings for the show, which has struggled in recent years against the BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing.
