We are ALREADY half way through January. Like seriously… where the hell is the year going?
Yeah we did just use that terrible cliche, haters back off.
Icy cold weather is currently battering the UK so wrap up kids! You don’t need to worry though. TenEighty has you covered *holds fists in the air*. Sit back, take a sip from your hot chocolate, and watch the very best YouTube videos from the last week! HOORAY!
Overexposed – Gary C
We love it when YouTubers break out from their comfort zone and try something new. As Benedict Cumberbatch once said “The further you get away from yourself, the more challenging it is. Not to be in your comfort zone is great fun.” Look at us quoting people, fancy ey? Not to mention it’s the internets favourite, Mr Cumberbatch. Gotta love him.
Anyway we digress, back to the video. It’s nice to see Gary C taking on a different style and stepping outside of his usual subject matter to look at the state of our media-centric culture. Also hands, we like the hands. We want to see more hand movements in future videos Gary. Hands.
YOUTUBERS React to Most Shocking LGBT Moments of 2014 – Trent and Luke
It’s time for some fresh blood on TenEighty, so who better than the British communities new gay power couple, Trent and Luke. In this video the boys collaborate with YouTubers from the UK and all across the world.
The YouTubers count down the most shocking LGBT moments of the last year, and living up to the stereotype, the sass is real. We actually ended up spitting out water at certain parts, and that’s not a euphemism. Wait, can that even be a euphemism? Possibly. From coming out videos to celebrity controversies the video covers it all, and everyone at TenEighty HQ loved it.
When In Paris – Ryan Harman
Here’s another YouTuber we’ve never featured on TenEighty, Ryan takes us on a trip to Paris where he visits the couple-lock-in-a-fence-bridge thing, takes in the views from the top of the Eiffel Tower and even gets swept up in a #JeSuisCharlie event. Ryan is a talented guy with just over 4,000 subscribers. If only he’d post weekly videos! *Hint, hint*
HARDCORE POpcoRN – SORTED Food
We blooming love the SORTED Food guys. They’re really inspirational, not just in the way of YouTube, but also as top class businessmen. Let’s be fair, the gang bring some high quality hair-game as well.
You know very well that we can’t say no to a pun-tacular video idea, and POpcoRN is pretty solid. If it’s not punny, it’s not funny! Oh, and these recipes for popcorn (some savoury options as well, fancy!) made us crave some snacks.
The Theory of Everything, Into The Woods, American Sniper… we’ve got plenty of chances to test out the flavours at the cinema at the moment, maybe even Sushi popcorn! Madness.
Running Away | thisbedottie
Sometimes you just need to get away, right? After a turbulent end-of-year for Dottie, she talks about wanting to get away from it all, “but with what money?”. I’m sure we’ve all been there.
A lovely message of pro-activity and persistence, this video just oozes optimism and hope, and who doesn’t need that in the middle of the most depressing month.
Oh, and her and Patty are TOO DAMN CUTE!!!
You want some more? You can’t handle the more!
If you’re tastebuds are barely moistened by those five videos, check out our resident magician, Steven Bridges, in his latest magic video.
And how about a casual chat about body odour with Trisha & Harry? Yes? Good. Watch that one here.
