You Better watch out, you better not cry. You better not pout, we’re telling you why. The TenEighty 5 Of The Best: Christmas videos is coming to town…
Just in case you’re not already in the mood for Christmas, fear not – we’re here to share some of the greatest festive videos on YouTube. We have searched high and low to bring together a whole variety of genres and styles; so no matter what your tastes, there should be something for you. Just like a good Christmas Dinner!
5. Baby It’s Cold Outside – Tom Joseph Law & Carrie Hope Fletcher
First up it’s a christmas song. While you might be bored of the same 12 songs being played on repeat at this time of year, it’s worth giving this one a chance. Tom Joseph Law and Carrie Hope Fletcher have joined forces to create a version of Baby It’s Cold Outside.
We were inspired to pick this after hearing about Carrie’s rendition with Gary C at the YouTube Christmas party, and we really love this version too. The guitar section is soothing and the duos voices create an enjoyable blend of Christmassy goodness.
4. The Under £20 Christmas Beauty Gift Guide – ViviannaDoesMakeup
Dipping into the beauty side of YouTube, our next pick is a festive gift guide! Real talk, we’re terrible at gift-buying, so when a video comes along with gift ideas, we can’t help but jump around in relief.
What is great about this video by Anna is that not only are the gifts more affordable, but there’s a variety of recommendations which suit the cosmetically-unaware among us. *raises hand*
3. Christmas Demolition – Thomas Ridgewell
Next up we have Thomas ‘TomSka’ Ridgewell fighting Santa Clause in a high production action comedy video entitled ‘Christmas Demolition’. Maybe not as twee as other xmas videos, this is down to Tom’s loathing of the festive period.
We love the energy in the video and how it still gets us in the festive spirit despite elves being killed by snowflake shurikens. A very slick and exciting video to watch!
2. Letters to Christmas | 7 – Jenny Bingham
Jenny Bingham has been hard at work on her series of daily ‘letters‘ to her favourite time of the year – Christmas – in the style of the ‘Letters to July’ videos by Emily Diana Ruth.
The video is wonderfully reflective on how christmas is a time for being thankful, and brings people together. We love how the thoughtful words are tied to festive images of decorating the christmas tree, which really gets us in the christmas spirit, and reminds us that christmas is not just about getting presents.
1. The Suggs Christmas Past – Zoe and Joe Sugg
Finally we have the most adorable of the videos on this list. YouTube’s favourite brother and sister vloggers, Zoe and Joe Sugg team up and react to some super cute family videos of themselves at christmas time.
Zoe and Joe recently released a follow-up Annual Christmas Sugg Special 2014 which features a festive Q&A but we love how sweet last year’s video was. It includes everything from seeing young Joe’s disappointment at not receiving a turbo bumblebee to Zoe’s appalling teenage dress sense.
We couldn’t stop laughing; tears literally filled our eyes. A heartwarming video that reminds you of how magical Christmas can be.
A little extra present…
This might be a 5 Of The Best article, but hey – it’s Christmas! Uploaded at the start of this year, Family Photo Surprise is a wonderful Christmas proposal video to get you in the festive mood. We don’t want to spoil anything more, so give it a watch…
