Liam Dryden is to host the Raindance Film Festival Official Selection live stream, in which all the nominees for the first British Independent Series Awards will be announced.
The announcement will be streamed live on Wednesday, 27th August at 4pm BST (8am PDT) on the French rival of YouTube, DailyMotion at http://www.dailymotion.com/RaindanceWebFest.
On being selected as the host for the announcement Liam Dryden said: “Despite the amount of hard work often put into webseries and online content, these projects are recognised by few other film festivals. They’re rarely offered a platform to be celebrated in the same way they will be at Raindance. I’m very excited to be a part of that this year!”
Liam plays Kairan “Kai” Fisher in Chronicles of Syntax, a sci-fi web series created by Susan E. Clarke which is currently developing its second season.
Raindance is an independent film festival established in 1992 and will be taking place between 24th September and 5th October 2014.
Along side the film screenings there will be a series of panels and events during the festival, including Lee Hardcastle, notable for his animated videos which have a 140K following on YouTube. He will be taking part in a ‘Conversation With…’ on 27th September.
Tickets for In Conversation With Lee Hardcastle go on sale on 2nd September from www.myvue.com/raindance (£12) and are also available with a Raindance Web Fest Pass, currently on sale now at www.raindancefestival.org.
