The YouTube Creator Space in London flooded today during filming.
The building’s sprinkler system went off in the video production studios at Google’s London campus near Tottenham Court Road.
Among creators using the space were Dodie Clark, Sammy Paul, Hayden Hiller-Smith and Jon D. Barker who took to Twitter not long after the event.
So basically, sprinklers just went off at Google and just flooded the floor..

Video producer and Googler Ciaran O’Brien‘s equipment was damaged but can be replaced through kit insurance. Studio lights and a set were also ruined during the incident.
The full extent of the situation is unclear. Google has not released a statement about why the sprinkler system was activated.
YouTuber Charlie McDonnell was also at the Creator Space during the shoot, Sammy Paul revealed on Twitter.
So one second I'm framing up @coollike, the next I'm being blasted in the face with black water.

Updated 9 July 2014:
TenEighty has learned the sprinkler system was activated by a wax valve melting due to a hot light being too close to the ceiling.
Water poured over the studio space for ten minutes and saturated the floor to the point of necessary refurbishment.
