Alex Day’s book The Underground Storyteller has been scrapped by publisher Ebury.
In March the vlogger and musician admitted to “manipulative relationships with women” and faced a backlash from the YouTube community. He has not uploaded a video since.
The release of his book, which included stories about London Underground stations, has now been cancelled.
A spokesperson for Ebury told TenEighty the book “would not go ahead” but declined to make any further comment.
Alex’s book was described as “trash” by an online reviewer who claimed to have read an advance copy.
Updated 12 June 2014:
A link to Waterstone’s website was removed after they deleted the review of Alex’s book.
