Tom Ridgewell (TomSka) has announced he is working on his first video game.
He revealed a 15-second trailer for the project at VidFest UK during MCM ComiCon on Saturday.
The trailer showed a burning and destroyed post-apocalyptic London and human characters wielding guns.
It ended with the title of the game, Cat Attack, and a final message which stated “See You In Summer”.
No more information was given to the audience at VidFest UK about the nature of the project.
Ridgewell now joins a growing number of YouTubers who are branching into game developing. Comedy duo Smosh famously raised $250, 000 to develop their app game Food Battle.
We’ll be sure to keep you in the loop and tease you more information as and when we hear it. Watch this space for images from that trailer!

UPDATE:
In his second talk on the Sunday of VidFest UK Ridgewell went into more detail about his game. He confirmed that it would be a 16 bit, smart-phone-based shooter. He described it as a “side-scrolling, tower defence game” which he admitted was a contradiction in terms. The premise was set out by Ridgewell as “cats invading, and then you have to kill the cats.”
It was hinted that if the game did well it would go towards funding Cat Attack II.
