What’s up guys? It’s time to celebrate Olajide “KSI” Olatunji’s birthday!
This week, KSI will be turning 27 years old. He’s spent most of his life online, so we have been honoured to get to follow his journey. Over the years, he has gone from strength-to-strength with sketches, reaction videos, boxing matches and music, and we want to look back at some of our favourite moments. So strap yourselves in for this ride of reminiscing, and join in with the celebration!
When he dropped his deluxe album, Dissimulation
We had to introduce our list with one of his most recent achievements to date…
When KSI released Dissimulation early this year, we had no idea of the response it would receive, landing the number one spot in the UK Album Charts. We loved seeing KSI continue his music career, and we can’t wait to see where this release will take him!
When he appeared on Good Morning, Britain
Can you imagine waking up to KSI and Piers Morgan battling the best of YouTube?
He has been a regular guest on the Good Morning sofa, but when Piers asked “Who is the king of YouTube?” in 2018, there was only one person we could think of to answer this one! KSI and Piers discussed this debate on the show, as well as his upcoming boxing match with Logan Paul. Whatever Piers says, you’re a king in our eyes, KSI!
When he entered the boxing ring
KSI has certainly established an impressive status in boxing – amateur boxing to start with, and then most recently professional boxing in his rematch against Logan Paul.
Starting off with a simple comment on Instagram, KSI went on to fight Joe Weller and Logan Paul twice, taking down both of his opponents despite being seen as the underdog in both cases. KSI has always had exceptional confidence in his abilities (see the title of his 2018 boxing documentary, ‘Can’t Lose’). Now, he hopes to keep up that reputation as he looks to fight Jake Paul in the future.
When he convinced a viewer to get a tattoo
We couldn’t make this up if we tried…
If your favourite creator convinced you to get a tattoo of their choice, would you go through with it? That’s what Lefty did in 2019, and the reactions from friends and family were varied to say the least. Trust us when we say you don’t want to skip this.
When he took diss tracks to the next level
Remember diss tracks? Whether you loved them or hated them, they were a huge feature in subscription boxes a few years ago and KSI really things to the next level. One of his most notable diss tracks was On point, aimed at Logan Paul. From the subtle references to films like Get Out and The Shining, to the stellar casting choices, this video really stood out from the rest in the diss track noise.
But fast forward to 2020 and it seems when the diss tracks have finished and the boxing gloves have been laid down, the pair have found a respect for each other. When Logan maturely discussed Black Lives Matter recently, KSI put his guard down and credited his fellow creator for using his platform to speak up.
When he reacted to fans reacting to his content
We can’t get enough of KSI’s reaction videos.
It must be a surreal feeling to know that strangers watch your content, but on top of this, seeing their reactions first-hand. This is exactly what happened to KSI in 2013 when FBE created a reaction compilation of his channel.
When he competed in a football match for charity
We had to close this list with one of our favourite moments to date…
KSI is not afraid of competition, but when he competed in a football match in aid of the Youngminds charity, we all admired his support for the cause. The YouTube AllStars football match took place in 2018, featuring some of the platforms most renowned creators, including Alfie Deyes, Joe Sugg and Ethan Payne. There was a Victory Royale for KSI when his team won the match, and what an incredible experience this was!

We have really enjoyed taking a look back at KSI’s career highlights and achievements throughout his years online, and we cannot wait to see what the future brings for him. Whether on a football stadium, in a boxing ring or reacting to the latest memes, we can assure you that KSI is taking leaps and bounds, and who knows where his experiences will take him!
