Out Of Love was released on 11 June.
Hazel Hayes has announced her debut novel, Out Of Love, has been optioned for TV by Rabbit Track Pictures, a UK film and TV production company run by James Norton.
Out Of Love is “a bittersweet romance told in reverse”, with it beginning at the end of a couple’s relationship and each chapter taking the reader back in time, “from tragic break-up to magical first kiss”.
The novel was crowdfunded via Unbound, and saw 3025 supporters fund it to 327 percent of its goal.
Speaking about the news with Deadline, Hazel said:
“I’m so excited that Out Of Love is finally out there in the world for readers to discover. It’s been quite the journey writing this book online, so I’m even more delighted that it’s found a home with Rabbit Track Pictures.”
Kitty Kaletsky, Rabbit Track’s former Black Bear executive, will be overseeing the novel’s adaption.
As well, the news broke on 11 June that Dutton, an imprint of Preguin Random House US, has acquired the rights to publish Out Of Love in North America. The paperback version of the novel is set for release in the US and Canada in late August 2020.
Out Of Love is currently available to purchase via all major UK book retailers.
