It’s like having a conversation with your friends.
We love a good podcast. They are a great way to find open discussions on interesting topics and learn about what is happening in the world. There is something special about these conversations you don’t see in other mediums. Similarly to YouTube, podcasts have a certain intimacy, which makes you feel like you are having a conversation with friends. It’s no wonder, then, that some of our favourite YouTubers have created their own to discuss everything from racism and money, to beauty and fashion.
Just as we shared before, here are some YouTuber podcast you simply need to check out!
Thrive
We always strive to be the best version of ourselves, which is why we were excited to learn Amena Khan launched her very own podcast, titled Thrive. Thrive focuses on the things we can do in our daily lives to be better humans. From marriage to lessons learned in the world of business, Amena has open and honest conversations about personal growth.
If you are someone who follows Amena and her own journey, you will know the work she has put into her own self-development and this podcast is her sharing her lessons from this journey, so we can do the same.
Talking Tastebuds
We love food and we love Venetia Falconer, so it makes sense we love her podcast, Talking Tastebuds. What started out as a podcast about food and people’s relationship with it quickly grew into something more. Through initial conversation around her guests’ eating habits, Venetia talks to the likes of Madeline Shaw, The Happy Pear and others about issues, such as sustainability, race and mental health.
Venetia’s interview style is second to none. She gets the balance between allowing her guests to speak and having an earnest conversation just right, and the questions she asks are insightful. It shows how genuinely interested she is in their stories and sharing them with her listeners.
One Step
Vlogging queen Ingrid Nilsen has taken the podcast world by storm with her latest podcast, One Step. An open book, One Step offers insight into the topics that make Ingrid’s mind tick. She interviews people she finds interesting, as well as talks about issues we don’t tend to speak about, such as money, healing from past traumas and body issues.
Ingrid has always been someone who’s honest and open about her journey, and this podcast is an extension of this and so much more. Each episode makes you think and gives you tangible advice you can go away and think about how to fit into your own life.
What I Know Now
Breakups are tough and sometimes we need a coach or guide to help navigate our way through our feelings. In What I Know Now, Amelia Liana opens up about her own heartbreak, sharing what worked for her and the steps she took to get to the place where she is now. She shows the learning process you need to go through following a breakup.
In the series, she talks to relationship experts, her friends who helped her during her own journey and takes questions from her listeners, so she and her guests can give an insight into their relationship woes.
At Home With Lily and Anna
During lockdown, we have been obsessed with Lily Pebbles and Anna Newton‘s weekly catch up on Instagram LIVE, so we were extremely happy to hear they were going to take the show and make it into a podcast. At Home with Lily and Anna is literally a catch up between friends. They share what they’ve been up to that week, the books they’ve read, any films they’ve watched – essentially, the debrief you give your best friend when you haven’t spoken to them in a while.
They make you feel like part of the gang and like you’re on the inside of their friend circle, something we have wished for, for years.
So there you have it…
