BAD KARMA was released on 15 May.
Gabbie Hanna first informed fans that she was releasing a new EP via an Instagram post on 11 April, where she teased its lead single, Dandelion. She had also released the song Glass House and its accompanying music video.
BAD KARMA is Gabbie’s second musical release since 2019, following that of her debut album, 2WAYMIRROR. Prior to that, she had released a handful of singles since 2017.
Speaking about the EP on Twitter, Gabbie shared the following with her fans:
“This EP is as much you as it is me. We built this together. You sat with me as I sobbed and tried to work out my emotions. You were patient when I had to take breaks at the mic [because] I couldn’t breathe. You were there to help me make my pain into art.
“[I love you] eternally.”
The release of BAD KARMA saw both the EP’s title and Gabbie’s name trending on Twitter. As well, the EP appeared on Apple Music’s New In Pop playlist and featured on various playlists on Spotify.
On release day, it reached the top spot on the iTunes Pop charts in the United States.
The track list for BAD KARMA is as follows:
