Users will be able to make purchases on the site by redeeming the value on the cards.
Twitch has announced it’s launching gift cards for users based in the United States.
Writing in its official blog, Twitch said:
“Sending one of our brand new Twitch gift cards is a great way to help the Twitch fans in your life meet fans like them, support their favorite streamers, and be part of the next big thing right as its happening.”
They’re rectangular. They’re purple. They’re powerful in the right hands.

The gift cards can be used to purchase “Bits”, which are virtual goods that “support streamers or celebrate moments” in a chat.
They can also be used to gift someone a subscription, and to purchase “Subs”, which is a recurring subscription that works to support streamers and unlocks special subscriber benefits.
The gift cards are available in denominations of $25, $50, $100 and $200. Physical ones will available for purchase at Best Buy and GameStop in the near future, with values of between $15 and $200.
Those wishing to purchase a gift card can do so via Twitch’s official site.
