Four hours of our favourite YouTubers working together for a good cause? Yes, please!
On 30 April, creators came together to provide entertainment for us all through a live stream, asking viewers to donate to NHS Charities Together. The stream was jam-packed with surprises, games, quizzes and even a special appearance from some Strictly Come Dancing stars! From Lego with Zac Alsop and Jamie Rawsthorne, to quarantine fashion with Anastasia Kingsnorth, there wasn’t a dull moment to be seen.

Pens and paper at the ready!
Phil Lester held a fantastic quiz that really got our brains thinking. We enjoyed questioning which path his infamous pet fish would take in his tank, as well as the fun game of rock, paper, scissors with our screens. Phil even tested us on our general YouTube knowledge, such as the most viewed video and the first video to be uploaded on the platform! (We obviously aced this section.)
Dancing with the Strictly stars
“Research has shown that dance can improve your wellbeing and happiness!”
AJ and Curtis Pritchard joined Saffron Barker in learning 100 years of dance. Including a couple of Britney Spears-inspired moves, rock and roll air-guitar and the Cha-Cha, we felt inspired to get creative and get moving in our living rooms, despite not being the most coordinated bunch!

Daniel Howell graced our screens with a “tier-ranking” of lockdown activities. While “arguing with the people you love” deemed a spot in the A Tier,”touching your face” came crashing down into F Tier. However, as we all know, “donating and supporting the NHS” won a rightful place in God Tier.
“I can [donate], and you can too. Even the tiniest amount possible makes a profound difference,” Dan said.

Jessica Kellgren-Fozard popped up on our screens throughout the livestream with helpful and insightful tips on how to stay motivated, inspired and happy throughout lockdown. We learnt how to keep calm with deep breaths, how to keep a good structure with to-do lists and taking up new hobbies!

What a way to show our appreciation!
In this time of lockdown, we as a nation have been enjoying leaving the house to show appreciation for our wonderful NHS. We’ve taken part in clapping and making noise with a saucepan and wooden spoon, but have you seen a “clapping contraption” before?
Colin Furze spent the four-hour event building a “mega clapping machine”, made up of a bike and dozens of rubber hands. We saw Colin kick-start this Thursday’s #ClapForCarers with a spectacular clapping performance.
