The series looks to spotlight small businesses impacted by the current COVID-19 pandemic.
Stories In Place features the stories of eight different businesses and was created in partnership with what Vimeo calls its “Staff Picked” creators, which features some of the platform’s top talent.
The businesses featured in the series are those that mean something to the eight different filmmakers, including a Taiwanese restaurant in New York City, a bike shop in Los Angeles and a comic book shop in Brooklyn, amongst others.
Filmed remotely over 12 days, the films were created with the help of a grant provided by Vimeo itself, which it matched in donations to each of the businesses.
