The new stickers are the latest in a host of recent rollouts by the social media app.
Instagram has announced the release of its #InstaProm stickers and AR effects, geared toward those who are unable to attend their own school proms due to the current COVID-19 pandemic.
The app made the announcement via a video posted to Twitter, which showed one way in which the new feature can be used.
Today we’re launching some #InstaProm stickers and AR effects 🎉
We know prom might not be what you’d originally planned but we hope these help you celebrate with a DIY prom at home.

Those wishing to access the #InstaProm-related stickers can do so via their Stories tray. Since they’re still being rolled out, it may take a few days for them to appear for all users.
The announcement follows that of numerous others Instagram has made over the past few weeks. Along with recently announcing it would be releasing new fonts for its Stories feature, it has also made its desktop site more accessible by allowing users to send direct messages and watch videos on Instagram Live.
