The Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards 2020: Celebrate Together was held on 2 May.
Due to the current coronavirus pandemic, the annual awards show featured its guests and winners practicing social distancing by sending in and streaming videos remotely.

Despite not being able to gather in person, the show saw the appearance of numerous famous celebrities, including the likes of Ariana Grande, BTS and Tom Holland, among others. Victoria Justice featured as host.
In the lead up to this year’s awards show, David Dobrik was nominated for Favorite Male Social Star, which he won. He was up against Jimmy Donaldson, Ethan and Grayson Dolan, Dude Perfect, Coyote Peterson of Brave Wilderness and Ryan Kaji.
In 2019, he won the award for Favorite Social Star.
Numerous other social media and YouTube creators were also nominated for awards throughout the night.
Annie LeBlanc won for Favorite Female Social Star, beating out Emma Chamberlain, Lilly Singh, Veronica and Vanessa Merrell, Liza Koshy and Miranda Sings.

UK gamer Alia Shelesh won for Best Gamer, having been nominated alongside Daniel Middleton, Tyler “Ninja” Blevins, GamerGirl and Preston Arsement.
Finally, JoJo Siwa took home the award for Favorite Social Media Star. The list of nominees alongside her included Blanco Brown, Max and Harvey Mills, Johnny Orlando, Asher Angel and Mackenzie Ziegler.
