The YouTuber and musician held a four-hour live stream on 26 April to raise money for the NHS Charities Together.
The event was titled Orla’s Covers-a-thon, a fundraiser in aid of NHS Charities Together. The online show kicked off at 15.00 BST on Sunday and saw Orla Gartland playing covers for those watching until 19.00 BST.
Those watching the live stream had the option to donate £5 for the opportunity to contribute a lyric to a song based around the theme of “Life in Lockdown”, which Orla would then write after the live stream. Everyone who donated will also receive an .mp3 file once it is finished and recorded.

Viewers could also donate £30 and request a song for Orla to play live. The covers she didn’t get to play on the live stream will be recorded and sent out personally to those who requested them.
Orla expressed her gratitude on her Twitter account after the event, saying:
“Wow. I am both hyper and dead. What a buzz.”
Those who tuned in thanked Orla for the live stream and for raising money for the NHS:
Thank you for putting an absolute shift in for this Orla! It was awesome and for a great cause!! Loved every minute of it
