James Daniels video quickly went viral as KSI reacted to it.
In a new diss video, James Daniels made homophobic jokes to make fun of Olajide ‘KSI’ Olatunji, including calling him ‘GaySI LGBT’.
“Yo, what’s up, it’s your boy, GaySI LGBT here”, James says as he imitates KSI in the video. Later he reintroduces the character saying: “Yo yo, JJ here, or should I say Gay Gay”.
His dad, who also features in the video, enters one scene asking: “Are you watching gay porn again?”.
In a reaction video uploaded to his second channel, KSI is seen looking through his fingers and shaking his head in response.
“How have you got your dad to say that?!”, KSI says in disbelief. “I’m one minute in and I’m speechless”.
Within hours of KSI responding to the video, James saw a quick increase in subscribers.
“He [KSI] literally reacted to the video on his channel and found it incredibly funny”, James told TenEighty when asked if he thought this might normalise homophobic behaviour among his viewers. “Lighten up a bit.”
“I’d love to see this guy engage genuinely in a conversation with LGBTQ+ people about the potential damage casual homophobia can do, especially to young people,” LGBTQ+ advocate Rowan Ellis told TenEighty. “I had really hoped the days of using “gay” as a default insult were behind us, way back when I was in school, but sadly it seems not.”
James also attracted the attention of UK rapper, Aitch, by making a similar video based around him and his music.
