Who’s ready to get stagey?
Amy Lovatt has everything a theatre kid could possibly dream of: all the stage gossip, incredible musical covers and, of course, Glee. She often blesses our sub boxes multiple times a week with a joyful video from the world of musical theatre. As such, we thought it was high time we ran through some of our favourites, just in case you were wondering what we watched during our free time.
Here they are, our top seven favourite Amy Lovatt moments!
When she introduced us to the six types of Hamilton fans
This is a classic video, where Amy runs down the six types of Hamilton fans.
From the “Fourth Schulyer Sister” to the “Lin-Manuel Mir-fan-da”, if you are a Hamilton fan, you will definitely fit into one of these categories. (Whether you agree with her or not.) She’s far braver than us in her attempt at Guns and Ships.
When she faked going to the Tony Awards
A true Tony trickster!
We were super jealous when she posted all over Instagram about her trip to New York. Her glamourous dress and sneaky stories totally had us fooled. Sadly, it all wasn’t true. We’re sure you’ll make it to the Tonys for real one day, Amy, and we can’t wait to see the vlog that comes with it.
When she made us fall in love with The Cher Show
The. Cher. Show.
With 20 reasons why you should love The Cher Show, Amy puts across a very compelling case. If you ever need proof that enthusiasm is infectious, this video is one to prove it. The real question is, when will The Cher Show transfer to the West End, and will Amy Lovatt have the starring role she deserves?
When she watched Riverdale’s Heathers episode
We’re all familiar with that episode, whether we watched it firsthand or heard about it on Twitter. It was all anyone could talk about for days! We accompany Amy through the weird autotuned world of Riverdale’s Heathers-themed episode. Her reaction faces alone are pretty golden, and we found ourselves mimicking them during our original watch-through.
Don’t worry, Amy, we share in your confusion, but at least we’re all confused together!
When she finally watched Starkid
It’s about time too.
Amy jumps into the wonderful world of Starkid and watches A Very Potter Musical. It’s a walk down memory lane for any previous Starkid fans and a perfect shared introduction for those like Amy. She’s already gone on to watch A Very Potter Sequel and Twisted, and we hope for a full Starkid watch party series by the end of isolation.
When she shares the WTF Glee moments
Glee was weird.
It is easy to forget many of the questionable things that happened over Glee’s six seasons, but Amy makes sure to run through them all. We’d somehow forgotten about the Justin Bieber tribute episode, so we thank her for reminding us. Now that Glee is back on Netflix, it’s the perfect time to revisit all those crazy moments.
When she blew us away with a Michael in the Bathroom cover
That voice!
Amy has uploaded many incredible covers, but it’s this one that always sticks with us. The emotional journey, those beautifully belted top notes and that flower crown. Everything about this video is pure perfection.

Our seven favourite Amy Lovatt moments! There were so many videos to choose from, so whittling our list down to just seven was much easier said than done. Amy really does cover everything a theatre kid could want and that’s why we love her so much! What would we do without her?
