Another week, another batch of tweets.
How long have we been on lockdown? One week, one month, a year? We swear, the days are all beginning to blur together and we’re starting to lose track of time. Is it Monday? We think it is, but it could also be Wednesday or Friday – at this point, we wouldn’t know. We think we’ve finally hit the stir crazy phase of quarantine, and it would appear that some of our faves are starting to experience it as well by the looks of their social media. Wouldn’t you agree?
Here are some of our favourite YouTuber tweets from the past week, complete with weird dreams, questionable Amazon purchases and so much more!
We just want the recipe!
Me: *googles how to make hummus*
Recipes online: the chickpea was invented in 1809-— Jana Hisham (@JanaHisham) April 19, 2020
This is so true, Jana Hisham! Why is it so hard for websites to just give us the recipe? Why do they need to tell us the history of every ingredient? WE DON’T CARE.
Quarantine thoughts

Our mind wanders into interesting places when we’re stuck at home for an unnatural period of time, as shown by this tweet from Hannah Snow.
We will not be buying that used, thank you
life hack: go on amazon and select the “used” listings for the product, you get a cheaper price and the quality is usually the same.
it’s how i’ve been managing the toilet paper shortage
— taha (@KhanStopMe) April 19, 2020
There are just some things you shouldn’t buy used and toilet paper is one them, Taha Khan…
It’s more of a mocktail
So yeah was just sipping a cocktail for 15 mins before realising I forgot to put the alcohol in it pic.twitter.com/t9ZnQqNCtD
— Sammi Maria (@samanthamaria) April 18, 2020
We know we should be commenting on you forgetting to put alcohol in the drink, Sammi Maria, but we’re more stuck on the fact you were sipping it for 15 MINUTES. Ours would have been downed in 2 seconds.
Preach!
I don't know who needs to hear this but tuna is disgusting
— ˗ˏˋ niki albon ˊˎ˗ (@NikiAlbon) April 19, 2020
We couldn’t agree more, Niki Albon. Tuna is absolutely disgusting, especially the canned stuff.
Where is the sandwich?!
today is an important day.
today is 5 years since i lost my jam sandwich.
5 years since it was STOLEN FROM ME IN M&M WORLD1827 days ive been wondering what happened to my sandwich.
— emi salida ✰ (@embly99) April 19, 2020
We’re still quite upset that we have not yet found out what happened to Emi Salida‘s jam sandwich all those years ago. Someone has to know what happened!
You can just tell
you know when you can just tell that your upcoming period is gonna kick your ass………
— book fridge (@majaanushka) April 18, 2020
We know that feeling all too well, Maja Anushka, when you just know the next week or so is going to suck.
Quarantine is making us dream weird things
I dreamt last night that my car had been stolen so at 4am I went out into the street in my pyjamas to check it was still there.
Obviously it was, but my goodness does this mean I’ve lost all rational thinking?
— Amy Lovatt (@AmyLovatt_) April 16, 2020
You’re not the only one to be slowly slipping away from the rational during lockdown, Amy Lovatt. We too have been experiencing super strange dreams. In fact, just last night we dreamt we’d fallen down the stairs and awoke thinking we were actually at the bottom of the steps. It took us a good 5 minutes to realise we were still in our bed.
The horror!
Idea for a horror game: A life sim where you manage your day to day, earn money, buy clothes and furniture except once a month you receive a phone call from your friends to go camping. You can accept or decline (or miss the call completely) but if you go… the nightmare begins.
— Jamie (@RageNineteen) April 19, 2020
We’d like this to not become a reality, Jamie Spicer-Lewis. Thank you for the suggestion, though.
Cats are the best
Cats make life worthwhile. pic.twitter.com/HW5lLP42Bw
— Rebecca Jane (@BeckieJBrown) April 18, 2020
We have to agree with Rebecca Brown. Cats really do make life worthwhile and those who disagree are wrong, simple as that.
So there you have it…
Our favourite YouTuber tweets from the past week! During these times when we’re stuck at home, it’s comforting to read their tweets. We don’t know about you, but they help us feel a sense of companionship, normalcy and that we’re not alone, something that tends to happen when we’re stuck in one place for long periods of time.
