Jeffree Star lives a life that is jubilantly spectacular. Everything he exudes is extravagant, excessive and exceptional.
Despite his dazzling antics, what we love most about Jeffree Star is his humility and his down to earth morality. We can only admire how he can somehow be both glamorous and generous; he’s neighbours with the Kardashians and philanthropic. While we don’t quite have the power to turn any footpath into a runway, it doesn’t mean we can’t feel that way in our head! It’s all about the mindset, after all.
Here are nine Jeffree Star moments we wish we could relate to, but can’t.
Threatening to DELETE imposters like a boss!
Something everyone can relate to is having millions of impertinent imposters! Don’t you wish you had the power of Thanos to delete all of them with just a click of your fingers? Sadly, we don’t personally have that power (nor did we have any impersonators), but Jeffree Star sure does!
In a video where he reacts to some of the 550 million TikToks about him, he discovered an alarming amount of accounts claiming to be him. Fans were confused and genuinely believed he was already making content on TikTok, so he clicked his fingers and immediately announced his official verified account, with a plan to delete those imitators with the backing of TikTok themselves! It was a beautiful moment.
We can’t wait to see Jefree’s beautiful mansion in the background of Tiktoks for the first time. Oh, hang on…
Chasing intruders out of your $14 million mansion in your Gucci slides
Although we did slightly embellish the title, we were genuinely concerned when a TikTok video flaunted footage of two trespassers allegedly breaking into Jeffree’s impeccably-manicured backyard. Imagining a jaunty Jeffree wearing silk robes, dismissing the intruders with a flick of his signature star-shaped hand mirror, is an image of class we could only dream of imitating.
The way he dismissed them in reality is just as classy. After carefully analysing the video, he explained that the presence of an old rose garden and patio furniture indicates the video was taken before he moved in. He tells the creators of the potentially malicious video, “Whoever you are, cute!”
We wish we could relate to dismissing potential burglars like that!
That time he wore it better than Drake
Who wore it better??? Haha #iconic #lvrobe pic.twitter.com/vcSGk7715l

Known for his hotline bling and his jangly jackets, Drake is undoubtedly a fashion icon, who just one day suffered some misfortune as he tried to pull off the same Louis Vuitton robe that Jeffree is known for. Drake looks fine, which is a problem because coming out of his private plane is Jeffree.
Wearing the robe as if it was part of his royal regalia, we would totally TenEighty approve that look! We dream the wind would also catch our hair and hold it at just the perfect angle to shade Drake, but, alas, we can’t quite relate.
Giving $15,000 to people affected by the coronavirus
I’m gonna give away $5,000 to 3 random people who retweets this and follows me! ❤️ Quarantine is lasting way longer than expected and I wanna keep helping out. Love you guys ⭐️
— Jeffree Star (@JeffreeStar) April 1, 2020
As you all know, the coronavirus has gravely affected the world that we live in. Thousands are losing their lives ever day, and millions more have lost their livelihoods. While we’re all doing our best by self-isolating, Jeffree is doing even more. After learning that quarantine would be lasting far longer than initially expected, he announced an initiative to donate $5,000 to three people who’ve been financially affected by the crisis. This large amount of money will undoubtably help them manage to survive the crisis.
We would like to think we would do the same if in the same position.
Letting Shane Dawson ACTUALLY Control your life
We admit that our love for Shane Dawson has undoubtably influenced us to double check how the pepperoni pieces on our takeaway pizza line up, and perhaps force us to question our latest purchase of a Champion jumper. Something we can’t quite claim however is Shane Dawson actually pulling our hand and controlling us like Jeffree a couple of years ago.
Now, hoping to introduce Jeffree to a world without Louis Vuitton, Gucci, nor Tom Ford, our ever reliable “everyman” archetype in Jeffree’s world of unearthly glam, Shane, took him to one place he wouldn’t be caught dead in: Walmart! Hilarity ensues as Jeffree gasps at the size of the car park, steering his Rolls-Royce away from everyone else, “I’m a little shook. Gonna take that spot. I don’t want to get keyed!”
Letting Shane control him was an utterly hilarious endeavour. Pushing the Walmart trolly, he looks like a fish out of water… A particularly glittery fish out of water.
Making a fan’s day
Something we really admire about Jeffree is how welcoming and absolutely lovely he is whenever a fan approaches him in public. Whether it’s at Walmart or at Taco Bell, there’s no chicanery in the way he greets admirers with open arms. Seeing their faces light up with utter delight and happiness brings tears to our eyes.
From offering a fan at Walmart a job at his company, to paying for a fan’s bill at a restaurant, the way he gives back to his fans is truly inspirational. We’d like to think we’d be just as nice to our fans, but we don’t have any!
Which Jeffree Star Approved supercar are we driving today?
Don’t you hate it when you’re in a terrible hurry in the morning, but can’t decide which lavishly pink custom supercar to take? Would it be the ultra sleek Lamborghini Huracan, or the just recently customised McLaren? There’s also the futuristic Tesla! There’s too much choice!
This is definitely something we can relate to on a daily basis.
Using dollar store makeup is such a novelty
Using Jeffree Star’s makeup is the most tantalising of treats. Bold and bombastic, we wish using it everyday was something we could do, but, alas, going back to drugstore makeup is something we have to live with. We dream of living in an alternative world where the Bloodlust Palette is our everyday go-to and the only time we have to use a supermarket palette is for a novelty YouTube video. Well, that is Jeffree Star’s world!
Driving toward Dollar General, Jeffree exclaims, “Why do I only get excited when I’m visiting the cheaper stores?” (If only that could be us.) After raiding the entire makeup aisle of $5 items, he discovers they’re all surprisingly passable! The foundation and eyeliner of the Believe Beauty brand were even Jeffree Star Approved! Even so, we wish we could use Jeffree Star palettes every day.
Shading immoral companies
No one likes injustice and nobody in the makeup world calls it out like Jeffree. Like the Robin Hood of makeup, he always calls out larger conglomerates who take advantage of YouTube Makeup artists new to the corporate world. With the Shane Dawson makeup collaboration, he publicly set a high bar of conduct for other companies, revealing that creators should get 25-30% of profits. Nikkie De Jagger was said to only be receiving half a percent with her collaboration with Too Faced.
Jeffree tells us about when he was young and naive, “I got taken advantage of without knowing. Everyone gave me s****y deals and I thought it was normal, but it was so not normal.” He concludes, “I believe everything happens for a reason… And we’re just setting the standards for the future and people who come after us.”
Calling out the injustice of an entire industry is something we wish we could relate to, but it’s something we can admire.
So there you have it…
This was merely nine times we wished we could relate to all the amazing things Jeffree Star has achieved in his bombastically brilliant career thus far. We’re certain there’s plenty more where these came from, so look out for another list soon! Until then, keep practicing with your palettes.
