TikTok is now one of only a couple dozen free Android apps to have received over 1 billion downloads, but fewer than 5 billion.
TikTok has seen a steady growth over the past year, with many users having joined the app over the past few months due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
In January 2020, it was the most downloaded app in the United States, according to SensorTower, and it has consistently been in the top three apps on Google Play Store since the beginning of the year.
TikTok currently holds a 4.5 star rating on Google Play Store, with over 19 million users having shared reviews.
