Happy Easter!
We’ve baked a batch of hot cross buns, hid copious amounts of Easter eggs around the flat, eaten our weight in Creme Eggs, and now we’re spending the next day making resolutions to not eat any more chocolate for the foreseeable future. (We’ll see how long that lasts…) While this Easter may have been different than years previous, with the majority of us currently in self-isolation due to COVID-19, we didn’t let it stop us from celebrating the day. From FaceTiming and phoning our families to treating ourselves to a nice dinner, even though we were by ourselves, we made the most of what Sunday had to offer – and our favourite creators did the same.
Here’s how some of our fave YouTubers celebrated the day!
When your book becomes an Easter egg
I am 100% here for The Paper & Hearts Society in Easter Egg form and now I know the REAL REASON I wrote the book https://t.co/GYmYRa0ACg
— Lucy Powrie (@LucyTheReader) April 12, 2020
OMG, this is amazing, Lucy Powrie! We’re with you – this would definitely be the real reason for writing a book.
Easter photoshoot

Awe, this photoshoot is absolutely adorable, Yasmin Johal!
We love Easter chocolate
It’s 9pm and I’m about to have my first bit of chocolate this Easter. 🍫
— Tom Fletcher (@TomFletcher) April 12, 2020
How did you manage to hold off eating chocolate until 21.00 BST, Tom Fletcher?! We never would have managed to wait that long to dig into our stash!
Looks delicious!
Took part in @mikejhemsley’s easter Sunday lasagna-thon and it was the best decision we ever made. This is an aubergine, courgette and mushroom lasagna all made from scratch using my own recipe with wholewheat pasta and two types of cheese in the roux! pic.twitter.com/T2xAu8XJfK
— Zoe London (@zoelondondj) April 12, 2020
We wish we’d been able to visit Zoe London‘s house for Easter dinner. That lasagna looks delicious!
Easter-themed food = heavenly
✨Happy Easter✨
Couldn’t get myself an Easter egg this year so I made flapjacks and cut them into egg shapes 🐰https://t.co/ygIzkwJCwP pic.twitter.com/yXxEOEoG8r
— Jennifer Bingham (@thatjennybee) April 12, 2020
We don’t know about you, but we think Jennifer Bingham was pretty excited to eat those egg-shaped pancakes!
Time for an Easter egg hunt

— Hannah Witton (@hannahwitton) April 12, 2020
Easter isn’t complete without an Easter egg hunt! We’re glad Hannah Witton and her partner, Dan, were able to participate in one whilst in self-isolation.
Wholesome content
Just passed a mama duck taking all her chicks out for an easter stroll 🥺🐥
— Calum McSwiggan (@CalumMcSwiggan) April 12, 2020
Now this is the type of content we like to see on our Twitter timeline! We hope those wee duckies helped to make your day, Calum McSwiggan.
Throwback!
shoutout to all my homies also mourning this egg xxxxx pic.twitter.com/6VkdFsU0zV
— Ania Magliano (@AniaMags) April 12, 2020
OMG, we totally forgot about these, Ania Magliano-Wright. Way to remind us of how much we miss our boys. *sheds numerous tears*
When you become one with the eggs
I'M AN EGG NOW AND WE ARE NOW TRYING OUT @PlayVALORANT! Come along and enjoy the lack of skills! https://t.co/1LKZuu5NTi pic.twitter.com/6ZjQ0KDpls
— Elliot Gough (@ElliotExplicit) April 12, 2020
Now this is an image we aren’t going to forget any time soon, Elliot Gough…. Definitely not.
That’s what happened, right?
Today we celebrate the day when Jesus hatched from an egg laid by a giant bunny. #homeschooltheology
— NEAFCY (@PNeafcy) April 12, 2020
We’re pretty sure that’s how the story goes, Paul Neafcy.
Easter Bunny who?
Happy Easter from your friendly punk elephant 🐘 #StayHome #Easter pic.twitter.com/s3kPDyyTWZ
— Yasmin Curren☀️ (@YagmanX) April 12, 2020
We’re sorry, we don’t know of this Easter Bunny about which you speak. We only know Yasmin Curren‘s friendly punk elephant. Elephants are way cooler than bunnies anyway.
So there you have it…
How our fave YouTubers spent the Easter weekend! From the looks of it, they managed to have a chocolate egg-filled time, despite being stuck at home. We know things might be a bit tough at the moment, but it’s little celebrations like these that allow us to forget our current predicament and enjoy life’s little moments.
