The fundraiser is in support of mental health charity, Unreal.
The fundraiser was launched by fans in recognition of dodie‘s 25th birthday, which occurred on 11 April, as part of their #dodiemonth celebrations.

Unreal is a volunteer-run charity that focuses on Depersonalisation and Derealisation Disorder, also known as DPRD.
According to its website, it seeks “to raise awareness of DPRD, to provide support and to promote involvement through providing up to date information, signposting, networking, the sharing of experiences and by celebrating success”.
dodie, who is an ambassador for the charity, has been very open over the years regarding her own experiences with DPRD.

The current goal of the fundraiser is to raise £1,000. At time of publishing, it has reached over £700.
