The convention, also known as WitC, will take place from 7 – 8 November at Birmingham NEC.
The news comes after a statement from organisers last week about its summer event, following the announcement that its venue, the ExCel Centre in London, would become a temporary hospital for coronavirus patients.
NHS Nightingale, which houses two wards each with 2,000 beds, officially opened last Friday.
In a post on its social media accounts, Social in the City (SitC) said they have “received many messages that (understandably) ask about our plans for SitC’s Summer Show” following the decision regarding NHS Nightingale.
Their statement reads: “We’re continuing to monitor the situation, along with ExCeL, as it evolves.
“For now, we’re going to pause any announcements while we await a clearer picture. We promise to keep you all updated, so please make sure you’re following us on Twitter and Instagram!”
The organisers also revealed that they are working on “fun things for our [Instagram] with SitC guests” while the UK remains on lockdown.
Apologies for the radio silence!

The statement went on to add that SitC attendees will be able to transfer their tickets for the summer edition to the winter show.
This year’s WitC also takes place at the same time and venue as TokFest, an event for TikTok fans and creators.
In a post on their Instagram, the convention announced that a “special upgrade” will be made available to enable attendees to go to both shows at a reduced price.
“[The] upgrade will be available when buying your TokFest ticket, or a SitC ticket.
“Already purchased a ticket? We’ll email a link for current ticket holders to purchase an upgrade once SitC tickets are officially on sale.”
Tickets for Social in the City: Winter Edition will be on-sale soon.
