The readathon will be taking place across the month of May, raising awareness for mental health.
Creator Nicole Woodward has announced Mentalhealthathon 2020, a reading marathon where participants are encouraged to focus on novels about mental health, or books that include characters with mental health issues. The news was announced via social media, and will be co-hosted by Victoria Jane and Simone Perren.
This is the second year the Mentalhealthathon will be occurring. For this year’s edition, Nicole has set readers a range of prompts and bingo cards to complete with the challenges, including a book picked by the hosts, as well as one of their individual recommendations.
A Google Drive document has been created with all the information needed in order to take part. Those wishing to join along can do so in a number of ways, including posting what they’ll be reading on their social media and/or YouTube channel, and the prompts include such topics as “Learn more about” and “Self care”.
