YouTubers Ring In 2020

Happy New Year!

We stayed up late, drank copious amounts of Prosecco, watched many a fireworks display and rang in the new year (and decade) in style. It’s crazy to believe another year has gone by and a new one has started, especially considering how amazing 2019 was: we had two Social in the City events, attended VidCon London, became obsessed with TikTok and got so much more involved in the YouTube sphere that we ended up dreaming we were watching videos on the site. (Weird, we know…)

If they’re anything like us – and we like to think they are – then our favourite creators brought in the new year in style. Whether they spent a cozy night at home or held quite a celebratory bash, they didn’t let 2019 leave quietly. Let’s take a look at how they welcomed 2020 into our lives!

Time for some rest

We think Samio Renelda rung in 2020 the right way, at home, in her slippers, with a couple of close friends. We know everyone has this idea that you need to go to raging party or club in order to ring in the new year correctly, but as you get older you realize spending time at home with those you care about the most is what’s important.

(It also means you’re close to your bedroom, so you can head to bed right after the clock strikes midnight.)

They’re totes adorbz!

We can’t have been the only ones to audibly “aww” upon seeing this tweet of Kiera Bridget and US vlogger Caylus Cunningham ringing in the new year. They’re too cute to handle!

Love the ones you’re with

You know we couldn’t have just one adorable tweet in this article! The minute we saw this video from Rebecca Brown on our timeline, we knew we needed to include it. She and her boyfriend are so cute!

The 2010s – what a decade!

If there’s anyone who took this past decade for all it had, it’s definitely the Fletcher clan. We could (and did) write an endless list of all Tom and Giovanna Fletcher accomplished, both together and independently: the publication of numerous books, the launch of a podcast, charity fundraisers, musical performances… Need we go on?

If the 2010s are any indication, then the 2020s are going to be a BIG year for the Fletchers!

A cold plunge

We don’t know why she wanted to go in the ocean in order to celebrate the start of 2020, but that’s exactly what Hannah Snow did. We know we wouldn’t have – imagine how chilly the water must have been!

A roaring decade

We’re glad Beckii Flint, Connie Glynn and Adele didn’t pass up the opportunity to hold a Roaring 20s-themed New Year’s Eve party. Not only is the idea brilliant, but their outfits are so 1920s that they look like they’ve just stepped out of a time machine!

What a party!

What would we do if we didn’t have Jon D Barker to document the shenanigans our favourite YouTubers get up to? A Battle of the Bands-themed party? We wish we were invited!

Steal the doggo

We totally wouldn’t have held it against you if you had stolen Rupert, Ellen Rose. Do you see that face? It’s just asking to be squished all day long!

A warm 2020 welcome

We all love a good bonfire, so what better way to ring in the new year than to spend time around one? Kaya Lili, we wish you a warm and happy 2020!

A loving and supportive wife

The love Melanie Murphy and her fiancé have for each other is just too much! They’re so supportive of one another’s ambitions and goals. Why do they have to be so cute?!

We hope we one day find a love as real as this.

Wellies = being grown up

You know you’re officially a grown up when you have a suitable amount of wellies for when our lovely rainy British weather decides to make an appearance. Guess we here at TenEighty HQ still have some growing up to do, Dottie James. Time to do some wellies shopping!
