She’s got a style for every situation.
As we’ve stated time and time again, we don’t really have a sense of fashion. You might tell us hair scrunchies and white Vans are in because that’s what VSCO girls wear and we’d respond with, “A VSCO what?” If you’re a little fashionably challenged like us, don’t fret! Fortunately, our favourite fashion YouTuber Suzie Bonaldi is here to help!
Known for her crisp modern whites and blissful summer vibes, she’s the perfect person to inspire us, while also giving us major style envy. Here are the seven times we were totally envious of her closet!
A Christmas calamity averted?
Stressed you still haven’t got a holiday outfit sorted out? Sure, ironically wearing your mother’s knitted Christmas jumper four years in a row is an understandable choice that we can relate to. However, Suzie has imparted some fab ideas we could try out to wow our families.
How about throwing on a pair of eye catching leather trousers? They’re sleek, shiny and extremely flattering! Paired with a dark, dramatic top with cheeky back detail and a matching bag, it’s the perfect outfit for everything from a casual morning of hanging with your family, to a big festive night out and even your Instagram feed! We love this look, and, perhaps for the first time ever, we won’t be wearing a holiday outfit only our mother could love.
An even classier Christmas?
If the last outfit wasn’t enough to inspire you to take off your ill-fitting jumper and flimsy paper hat, then this video will, as Suzie takes it up a notch and tempts with sparkles and gold!
Suzie shows off her knowledge of pairing the perfect textures to evoke that festive look. She first pairs a sleek leather jacket, along with a bold gold chained bag. Confident, classy and positively gleaming with festive cheer, what could be more perfect for Christmas? Maybe her pair of stunning sparkly deep red leggings that glisten like a bauble under fairy lights, or the smooth textured velvet long sleeved dress that she paired with glittery boots? We adore these sparkles so much that we don’t think we’d stop wearing them even when the festive season is well over!
Casual Fridays
Are you someone who groans at the thought of dressing up? (We feel you.) Sure, it may feel good to put on that one gorgeous dress you have once every few months, but do you feel happiest and most comfortable in a pair of joggers and your warmest jumper? If you relate to this, the self-proclaimed Queen of Casual Dressing is here to give you some tips to dress causally, yet be stylish at the same time!
Throwing on her favourite baggy black hoodie, Suzie shows us how pairing it with her signature leather-look leggings gives the impression that you’ve thought about your outfit – you look more pulled together whilst still being comfortable! She continues to fill our fluff-filled minds with the secrets of matching your white trainers with your outfits, and even how she manages to make pyjama bottoms look presentable in public! We are finally going to be presentable in public! How the tables have turned!
Make a statement this season
We all have that one item of clothing that defines us, that makes us feel empowered when we wear it. However, it’s hard finding a distinctive statement piece to wear during winter. We can’t speak for everyone, but we often resort to wearing our standard grey or black coat everywhere we go, paired with equally dull trousers or jeans, only bringing out colours when the weather becomes warmer again.
Suzie proves this doesn’t have to be the case. She’s recently posted some Instagrams with a stunning teddy bear trench coat. Not only does it look amazingly warm and soft, invoking the feeling of snuggling up under your favourite fluffy blanket, but the oversized woollen coat is so gorgeous, so extra, and doesn’t Suzie just look so powerful and purposeful wearing it? We want that! The tan tones of the coat also go so naturally with the simple black outfit she’s wearing underneath. Although we haven’t tried that coat on ourselves, we imagine it’ll feel like wearing a bit of sunshine wherever you go, despite the gloomy winter.
Pure white
Wearing all white is often an intimidating prospect. The risk of food stains, visible sweat patches and stereotypes of it being infamously difficult to pull off do put many off from this idea. Suzie has, however, made all white one of her signature looks. We think she looks absolutely stunning and we’re going to be stealing all her tips!
Bringing back memories of summer, this particular all-white outfit just radiates warmth and images of picturesque blue seas. We believe Suzie has perfectly selected the optimal amount of white! She’s not wearing it head to toe in an early noughties boyband way, but rather she balances her expressive unbuttoned white shirt and pure white shorts with the calming beige tones emanating from her choice of hat and crop. The casual off the shoulder aesthetic gives us confidence to try out some white when the summer finally comes back.
Princess of the pool party
“Pool party… But make it fashion.” We couldn’t have said it better ourselves! Pool parties are fun and can be glamorous in a 1950s vintage sheik sense, but we’ve never seen anything as dazzling as this. The sleek black one piece, cool and understated, is paired with an irresistibly stunning crystal studded tiara. She looks so fab – she honestly could be walking down a red carpet in that!
Especially with the rise of everyone embracing the flattering nature of bodysuits into everyday outfits, we can definitely see ourselves trying something like this out!
All I want to do is rock
The music festival season might be over, but we’re not forgetting Suzie’s Coachella outfit anytime soon! She might be known for her whites and tans, but this rock chic look shows she can pull off just about anything. We adore her use of layering, starting with the back crop top, which she drapes over with a bold leather jacket, and she completes with a sprinkling of expressive jewelry. She’s incredible at just piling on character within every layer!
So there you have it…
Seven times Suzie Bonaldi gave us style envy. Although our heads might feel a little overstuffed right now with fashion inspiration, we can assure you there’s so much more where this came from! Would we need to come back to her when next season arrives? Absolutely!
