How can Buffer Festival be over?
It seems like only yesterday we were traveling to Toronto to cover the festival, and now we’re back, trying desperately to not let the jet lag win. (We’re not succeeding all that well.) This past weekend was filled with numerous premieres, lots of red carpet fun and our fave content creators talking about what they love most: video making. It was quite a time and we’re sad it’s over, so we’re already starting the countdown to next year’s festival. Is there any way we can fast forward time?
Since we were away across the pond, we weren’t on Twitter all that much. (We know, it’s a shock to us too!) As such, we missed quite a bit of what our fave creators were talking about. You may have missed it too, which is why we’ve spent the day scouring the site, looking for the best LOLs and WTF moments from the past week. Let’s jump into it!
Never thinking ahead
I really admire those people who have the foresight to bring a portable phone charger with them when they know they’re gonna be out all day. I will never be those people
— Calum McSwiggan (@CalumMcSwiggan) October 6, 2019
We admire those people as well, Calum McSwiggan. Unfortunately, we’ll always be the ones who have their phones die on them at the worst possible times…
Those dance moves tho

Hello, where can we learn to dance like Kelsey Ellison? Her dances moves are FIRE.
The WORST food
My fingers are cut to shreds.
I'd love to say this is because of lifting weights in the gym.
It's not… it's trying to oPEN FUCKING PISTACHIO SHELLS FFS
— JaackMaate (@Jaack) October 4, 2019
While delicious, we’re of the opinion that pistachios were sent by satan, due to the amount of times we’ve injured ourselves trying to open their shells. You’re just the latest in a long line of victims, Jack Dean.
Dream big
I want to be the voice in the train toilet that guides you through your loo experience, ‘Ello, I’m Joe’. That’s my dream @VirginTrains
— Joe Tasker (@JoeTasker) October 2, 2019
This is a dream we can get behind, Joe Tasker.
The BEST soundtrack
Shark Tale Soundtrack and Chill
— taha (@KhanStopMe) October 2, 2019
We’re glad Taha Khan appreciates the Shark Tale soundtrack as much as we do.
Such tough decisions
Oh, my sweet summer child.
Little did you know, this would apply to every mildly tough decision you have to make the rest of your twenties.

Adulthood is filled with difficult decisions. Just ask Daniel J. Layton.
Dishwashers are so impractical
Am I going crazy or is there legitimately not a single good place in a dishwasher to put a bowl?
— Luke Cutforth (@LukeCutforth) September 27, 2019
You know what, Luke Cutforth, you’re right. Why did they design dishwashers without a proper place to put a bowl?
Dogs are the best
I hope people who walk their dogs in public places know they're doing a service to the rest of the world's happiness
— ˗ˏˋ niki albon ˊˎ˗ (@NikiAlbon) October 5, 2019
We agree with Niki Albon. Dogs are the best creatures on the planet and we’ll take any chance we get to see one in public.
#Fact
fact: the most tiring and stressful human activity is trying to keep up a witty back and forth in the dm’s with someone you want to impress
— Daniel Howell (@danielhowell) October 5, 2019
We can concur that this is indeed the most tiring and stressful human activity, Daniel Howell.
What a hero
Guys, I was on the tram doing my hair in a pony tail and pinning it down and the old man in front of me was like “I can hold your phone camera up for you to see, but you like pretty regardless” SIR 🥺🥺🥺 my heart
— 𝖊𝖒𝖔 𝖒𝖔𝖒 (@YasmineSumman) October 5, 2019
This man is a true hero, Yasmine Summan.
