WOW. What a week in pop culture, huh?
Spider-Man’s fate is up in the air, Taylor Swift dropped a new album, Keanu Reeves is returning for another Matrix movie, Harry Styles graced us with that beautiful Rolling Stones spread, and then ALL OF THE NEWS came out of D23. We really have been blessed this past week in the pop culture sphere.
But we can’t forget about YouTube! Another SitC has come and gone and it seems that everyone has now read all of the panel recaps and uploaded their vlogs and videos from the weekend and has returned to their regularly scheduled lives..which is exactly what we are doing. Welcome back to the Weekly Round-up!
Marzia & Felix – Wedding 19.08.2019 | PewDiePie
Okay, guys, we are going to warn you now. You’re not only going to need to grab some tissues for when you inevitably start crying from how beautiful this video is, but you’re, also, going to need to figure out a way to contain your jealousy over how beautiful this wedding was.
Felix Kjellberg and Marzia Bisognin officially tied the not this past week at the gorgeous Kew Gardens. We are so glad they had such a beautiful day and we are so thankful that Felix uploaded this video to give us a glimpse.
Lol, how many times can we say the word beautiful?
Holy. Smokes.
We’ve all said the line, “that’s a mood,” right? We know we have but it’s never been as accurate as it was when we watched this video. Iz Harris, who is an absolute legend to begin with, hit the nail so hard on its head with this one.
As if society doesn’t put enough pressure on us, we put an ungodly amount of pressure on ourselves. Iz even says it, “we live in a hussle until your dead culture” but why are we like that? Do we really need to keep adding to our already never-ending list of responsibilities? Do we really need to succumb to societal pressures about every aspect of our lives? The answer is no, we don’t. And yes, we know that is easier said than done, but Iz puts it beautifully in this video, “There is a season for everything, and maybe this just isn’t your season.”
Thank you, Iz, for this reminder, it couldn’t have come at a more perfect time.
Oli White, White, White. Oh, wait. That’s Stevie White‘s jingle. Wrong White, our bad.
Either way, we’re excited about Oli being on our screens today. Why? Mainly because we LIVE for Oli and James content. This week, they’re attempting to recreate the Tasty rainbow crepe recipe, which we couldn’t be happier about because we would like to know what we are getting into before trying it ourselves.
Fingers crossed we don’t burn ourselves as Oli did, and fingers crossed Oli’s burn isn’t too bad and heals quickly.
A less than 30-second video in the Round-Up? You bet!
At the very least, it off-sets the time you spent watching Oli’s video, but if we are honest with you this will be the best 30 seconds of your week.
Dottie James, YouTube’s resident Queen of Poetry is back at it with “Where The Giant Lives.” Not only are her words beautiful and graceful, but the video for it is so aesthetically pleasing and fits the poem perfectly. UGH. We were just so in love there was absolutely no way we couldn’t share it with everyone.
Do you have your pen and notebook ready? No? Well, you better go get it.
If you’re anything like us, we’ve always been curious about how to make Prince Harry fall in love with us. While we can’t be happier that he is with Meghan, we are still hoping that some member of the Royal Family falls in love with us. So, thank goodness for Riyadh Khalaf.
Riyadh meets with Royal etiquette expert William Hanson this week to educate us on how to become the next Meghan Markle.
And there you have it, another Round-Up in the books.
But you know that we can’t just leave you with five videos. We know you want more.
We’re coming up on Spooky Szn so what better way to celebrate than a Matthew D Gilpin video essay on a horror director who is waaaay underrated.
