Felix Kjellberg hit the milestone in the early hours of Sunday morning.
The news also makes Felix the first solo creator to have over 100 million subscribers on the platform, after the Indian record label T-Series became the first YouTube channel to reach the target in May.
While Felix has not yet commented on the news, he took to Twitter to share a tweet from YouTube.
The tweet reads: “Married to [Marzia], revived our love of Minecraft, reached 100 million subscribers on YouTube.
“What a month to celebrate and congratulate Pewdiepie.”

Seán McLoughlin, known online as Jacksepticeye, was amongst creators praising Felix, saying the news was “absolute madness”.
“No one deserves it more. Consistently humble, incredibly hard working and one of the nicest guys I’ve met. Massive congrats,” he said.
