The Earth is on fire and it’s seriously not okay…
If you don’t live in the UK or Europe then LUCKY YOU. In case you weren’t aware, according to reports temperatures in the UK have matched those in Dubai. Just a reminder, Dubai is a LITERAL desert.
In true millennial fashion many of our favourites took to social media to express their feelings about the nationwide heatwave results of global warming.
It was set to be the hottest day on UK records ever
Today is the hottest day in the UK, ever… if that doesn’t say global warming is a real thing I’m not sure what will
— Sophie Foster ✨ (@Sophie_FosterXx) July 25, 2019
The hottest temperature ever recorded in the UK was 38.5C in Faversham, Kent, in August 2003. Today got worryingly close to that.
Sounds like a good time to read up on what you can do to fight climate change, eh?
An accurate representation of everyone today

Couldn’t have picked a worse day to sit inside all day editing 6 hours worth of vlog footage

Such brave souls. They struggle for their art.
Why aren’t more people talking about this?
This tweet won't get as many likes as "lol I couldn't sleep it was so hot!!"
Today could be the hottest day on record for some of the UK so it feels like the perfect time to keep reminding ourselves that time is running out. #ClimateCrisishttps://t.co/sBQUI5Pw6o

“I am firmly of the view that the next 18 months will decide our ability to keep climate change to survivable levels and to restore nature to the equilibrium we need for our survival,” said Prince Charles ahead of a series of critical UN meetings taking place between now and the end of 2020.
Big mood…
The planet is burning and I'm scared.
— Jake Edwards ✨ (@jakeftmagic) July 25, 2019
According to reports there were train tracks literally on fire today. The planet is actually burning.
Don’t forget about those who are more vulnerable
if you have any elderly neighbours, please go and check that they’re okay in this heat and are staying hydrated 💕
— gabriella lindley 🏳️🌈 (@velvetgh0st) July 25, 2019
Children, the elderly and people with serious chronic conditions are more at risk in hot weather. The same goes for pets.
For our friends across the pond
For those Brits curious about what the temperature in London is in the freedom system of Fahrenheit… it’s officially 100°F today! #heatwaveuk

Global warming isn’t all about the sun
wow it’s raining like when stanley yelnats broke the curse that madame zeroni put on his no good dirty rotten pig stealing great great grandfather
— taha (@KhanStopMe) July 25, 2019
Thunder and rain have been hammering the UK too. And somehow we knew every word of that Tweet as we read it. Is that an achievement or..?
It’s not just the planet at risk
I don’t know who needs to read this today, but… pic.twitter.com/2yXiQL0BIB

Apparently it’s vaginas too, according to doctors.
Let’s focus on the important things…
I don’t care what anyone says, *THIS* is how you rank our ice lollies.

As a result of this global warming, the intense heat has been getting to Niki Albon, poor lad. He’s clearly delirious. The humble Fab should be at least mid tier and nobody wants a Ribena ice lolly. Also justice for the Twister.
Lollies aside, if you’re wondering what on this hot Earth you can do to fight climate change, sign the climate petition and read more via Friends of the Earth.
