Did you miss us?
After an inadvertent break over the past week, Tweets of the Week is back and we’re ready to share some pretty hilarious and entertaining tweets with you all. This past week on Twitter saw our favourite YouTubers going to movie screenings, taking in the gorgeous weather we’ve been having and doing everything under the sun, and we were loving every minute of it! We often find ourselves scouring the depths of Twitter when we’re bored, so it’s awesome that our faves are giving us some stellar content to read.
What are we waiting for? Let’s jump into it!
JoJo is our queen
JoJo did this last year and it was an EXCELLENT DECISION. https://t.co/mBHFpErqZr
— Daniel J. Layton (@DanielJLayton) July 14, 2019
We’re including this tweet from Daniel J. Layton just so we can talk about how much we love JoJo and the re-releases she shared in 2018. They sound amazing, and you’re totally missing out if you have yet to listen to them.
As Daniel says, “It was an EXCELLENT DECISION.”
So adorbz
I first came to @2000trees in 2010 purely by accident and fell in love. Been telling my husband about it since I met him. He’s been here 5 mins, huge grin on his face and he said to me he totally gets it. This damn festival man. How do they do it. The best place. 🌲 pic.twitter.com/zUPulDaNM5
— Zoe London (@zoelondondj) July 11, 2019
OMG, this is so cute, Zoe London! We love when things work out and fall into place. Your relationship with George is absolutely adorable – we’re glad you two met and fell in love!
(Side note: what do we have to do to get a relationship like this?)
Our Price Eric
where can i audition to be prince eric?⚓️ pic.twitter.com/kPsP1liZhJ
— sam carr (@saamcarr) July 8, 2019
What do we have to do to make this a reality, Sam Carr? Hey, does anyone have any connections with the producers of the upcoming Little Mermaid movie? We’ve found the PERFECT Prince Eric!
This one’s tricky
If Vanessa Carlton would walk 1000 miles to see me, and The Proclaimers would do 500 and then another 500 more, who would get there first…?? Would they both turn up? Bit awkward that
— Emma Blackery (@emmablackery) July 12, 2019
This is the type of question that would stump the entire class if it were on a maths exam, Emma Blackery. Personally, we think Vanessa Carlton would make it there first, but others in the office feel The Proclaimers would… Ugh, our brains hurt.
Those aliens
old town road remix ft. the aliens from area 51
— Daniel Howell (@danielhowell) July 12, 2019
How do we know the aliens from Area 51 haven’t already released their own Old Town Road remix and are currently playing it at such a high frequency that we can’t hear it… For all we know, Daniel Howell, they could be indoctrinating us with their lyrics as we speak and we totally wouldn’t even know.
(We totally aren’t paranoid or conspiracy theorists… Nope, not at all.)
You’re not even old…
blows my mind that there are people who exist who were born after 2004
— Jack Edwards (@jackbenedwards) July 12, 2019
If that blows your mind, Jack Edwards, try being our age and trying to fathom that those who were born in 2000 are now adults. We still can’t wrap our heads around it… When did we get so old?!
Devastating
a seagull just robbed becca’s ENTIRE steak bake fresh out the packet hahahaha
— han 🤙🏼 (@fabuloushannahh) July 14, 2019
We would be absolutely devastated if that were us, Hannah E. Seagulls are a menace to society and must be stopped, before they rob another innocent person of their precious steak bake!
We’re actually so old
Never gets less weird going onto Facebook and seeing which girls from school have had a baby. Today it's the girl who had a copy of Pride and Prejudice with no cover because she'd dropped it in the bath so many times.
— Lucy (@LucyJaneWood) July 11, 2019
We relate to this hardcore, Lucy Wood. It’s so weird for us to see people we knew from secondary school getting married, having kids, etc. That is, until we remember that we’re in our mid-to-late 20s and that they actually have their lives together, while we spend our evenings stuffing our faces with crisps and watching Love Island on repeat.
We knew it!
It’s time to come clean.
Scarlett Johansson and Dean Dobbs are one of the same.
I, Scarlett Johansson, have been portraying a 27 year old white man from the UK for around 10 years on the popular video streaming website YouTube. I have no regrets.
— Dean Dobbs (@DeanDobbs) July 14, 2019
We always knew there was something fishy about you, Dean Dobbs – or, should we say, Scarlett Johansson! Good job keeping up the facade for so long. However, we do have to ask: are you sure you don’t have any regrets?
They sleep… Naked?
I just found out 2/3 of millennials sleep naked and I don't know how to feel
how
do you
do that?— Evan Edinger (@EvanEdinger) July 13, 2019
This is brand new information to us, Evan Edinger, and we too have the same question: how do people do that? Like, what if your roommates were to walk in? What if you got a chill? So many questions!
So there you have it…
