Harry was awarded thanks to his fundraising efforts for the transgender youth charity Mermaids. He conducted in what started as a 24 hour live stream, playing Donkey Kong to raise money for the charity.
However, as Harry explains in Attitude’s video, he continued on for 60 hours, gaining momentum and supporters from around the world meaning he would surpass his £3000 goal.
In another interview with Attitude Magazine, Harry shared that “Luckily, we live in an age where people are pretty understanding now at least of different sexualities”. In the stream, Harry gathered support from a variety of sources and concluded by raising £258,000.
