Who doesn’t love good music?
Seriously, there’s nothing we love more than popping in our headphones, selecting our favourite Spotify playlist and letting ourselves get lost in the sounds and lyrics of our favourite musicians. Not only do we find it super cathartic, but it’s also exciting when our favourite song comes on shuffle – we can’t help but bop to it!
If you happen to be in the hunt for new music, then we definitely have the list for you! Just as we’ve done twice before, today we’re shining a spotlight on some of our favourite songs recorded by our favourite YouTubers! Whether you’re a fan of acoustic tracks or are looking for something with a bit more speed, there’s something on this list for every music lover out there. Here they are, our Five More of the Best: Anthems By YouTubers!
Rain (Official Music Video) | AmelleRose
We’re kicking things off with a recent release from Amelle Rose. Title Rain, this song is so beautiful that we aren’t quite sure we can put into words just how we feel about it. Everyone knows how talented Amelle is as a songwriter, but we without a doubt feel this is her best release to date.
Things start out quiet enough, with just Amelle and her guitar, before a full band enters in to send this song into a whole different ballpark. Amelle’s vocals are perfectly showcased throughout, and her lyrical prowess knows no bounds. (Honestly, we wish we could write as eloquently as her.) Pair the track with one heck of a gorgeous music video and you have the recipe for a perfect release, which this is.
Call Me Out (Official Music Video) | Sarah Close
We’re throwing things back to 2017 with this goodie from Sarah Close. We can remember where we were when this song was released, and it’s still to this day one of our all-time favourites. We mean, have you listened to that beat?
Sarah’s always had a way of writing super catchy pop songs and Call Me Out is no different. Giving us some major Spice Girl vibes, it’s everything we could have wanted from a debut release, and we’ll take any excuse to share it with everyone around us. However, we still have one question all these years later: just how tired were you after filming this music video, Sarah? We’re exhausted just watching it!
Favourite Ex – Live at The Pool Recording Studio | Maisie Peters
Maisie Peters has been on fire lately with her releases. We don’t know what it is about her music, but we find ourselves falling in love with everything she puts out. Not only is her voice so soothing to listen to, but we find her lyrics hit us deep and are relatable to our experiences while growing up. This is especially true of Favourite Ex.
Everyone has gone through a breakup, so you know the emotional rollercoaster that follows. Maisie details these feelings perfectly and the message she sings is perfectly shared through the use of just a guitar and a piano for backing music. If we were able to turn our heartbreak into something as beautiful as this song, then maybe the healing process would have been that much easier.
Under the Weather [OFFICIAL VIDEO] | Cameron Sanderson
It’s no secret we here at TenEighty HQ are huge fans of Cameron Sanderson‘s music, both original and cover, so you can bet we had to include one of his many singles on our list. Our choice? Under the Weather.
This pop track has a beat that’ll make it impossible for you to forget. Seriously, it’s so catchy that we find ourselves humming it while at the shops or at work. One look through the comments shows it hits home with many listeners, and we feel it’s one of the finest showings of Cameron’s musical talent. As well, the video is a treat – just look at those visuals! – and leaves us wanting to hit repeat again and again.
Weightless Words | Official Music Video | LibbyLumos
We’re closing things out with some indie-pop that’ll revive your soul and give you clear skin. Well… Maybe not that last bit, but we don’t know how else to praise Weightless Words by Libby Tidley. What would you rather us say?
We genuinely believe Libby has one of the best voices on YouTube. The notes she’s able to hit leave us with goosebumps and her lyrics hit deep, much deeper than you’d expect. She has a way of taking the experiences we all go through and turning them into art, and we can think of no better example of that than this track. Pair it with an incredibly unique and creative music video and you’ve got something pretty special!
So there you have it…
