APRIL FOOLS!

It’s finally here, the time of year every prankster has marked down on their calendar: April Fools’ Day. This means it’s time to whip out the whoopee cushion, find the perfect song lyrics for that texting prank you’ve been planning, grab your fake dog poop and pull the greatest prank of all time! However, in order to do this, you’ll need some inspiration and that’s why we’re here.

To celebrate April Fools’ Day and give you some awesome prank ideas, we’ve decided to highlight some of our favourite YouTube pranks, because we totally haven’t done this three times before…. And no, before you ask, we aren’t talking about the problematic ones that seem to somehow still be making the rounds on the site. We’re talking about actual pranks that are actually good. Here they are, our Five More of the Best: ACTUAL Prank Videos!

FAKE EMPLOYEE PRANK In IKEA | Niko Omilana

Niko Omilana is without a doubt the UK’s reigning King of Pranks and has covered pretty much every prank under the sun. One of his more popular series is when he goes undercover as a store employee, and our all-time favourite one was when he went undercover as an IKEA employee. Considering everyone loves Ikea – if you don’t, you’re crazy – we’re sure you’ll love it just as much as we do!

Initially, Niko had planned on pulling this prank at IKEA Wembley. However, he got caught and ended up being banned from all Ikea stores within the UK and Ireland. (We’d say it was worth it.) Not one to give up, he decided to go to the home of IKEA itself, Sweden, and try his luck there. The results were golden. We don’t want to spoil anything, but let’s just say we’re honestly surprised no one ended up giving him a job there.

CRAZY 300 + PUMPKIN CAR PRANK!! | Saffron Barker

We’re throwing things back to 2016 with Saffron Barker‘s first prank. With the help of Jake Mitchell, brother Casey Barker and Nicole Corrales, she works to answer a question that had been on her family’s mind that Halloween: how many pumpkins can you fit in a car? Her dad thought only 100… Boy, was he about to be proven wrong.

The prank went down while her dad was out walking the family dog. Within 20 minutes, she, Jake and Casey had filled his convertible with around 200 pumpkins and the result was absolutely glorious. Sure, her dad might not have been too impressed (he did have to go to football, after all), but we can’t get over the sight of it all. As far as first pranks go, this was definitely a good one.

EPIC MALTESERS CAR PRANK | Caspar

We know we’ve previously featured a Caspar Lee prank in this Five of the Best series, but we couldn’t not include this one, as it’s one of our all-time favourite pranks to have ever been uploaded to YouTube. We mean, a car full of Maltesers? That’s the dream, really.

Caspar pulls this iconic prank on his friend, Conor Maynard. Little did Conor know when he lent Caspar his car that it was going to be returned full of chocolatey goodness. With the help of Grant Hinds and a whole crew, Caspar fills the car with untold amounts of Maltesers – seriously, there’s too many to count. We won’t say how Conor reacts, but let’s just say it’s golden.

Stealing Our Friend’s Brain Backup PRANK (GONE WRONG!!!) | Tom Scott

It’s time to travel to a future (not the future) with this video from Tom Scott, where we see a prank that’s totally out of this century. In it, we watch incredibly annoying and obnoxious pranksters Callum (Jack Shalloo) and Aaron (Shaun Cowlishaw) get payback on their friend, Jack (Charlie Hamblett), in the most epic of ways: by stealing and messing with his brain backup!

Well, here’s the thing. That’s what was supposed to happen, and things were going well at the beginning. They were having some fun with the temperature gauges. However, things quickly started to go downhill for Jack. Like, for example, when they had lizards infiltrate his room. (Yeah, nope.) Also, that ending is definitely something we were NOT expecting… To say this prank went wrong would be an understatement.

GREEN SCREEN GHOST PRANK! | TheSyndicateProject

We’re closing out this Five of the Best with a classic video from Tom Cassell‘s main channel. In it, he decks himself out in an all-green suit to play a prank on the viewers of friend Tucker’s gaming stream. Things start out pretty simple, with Tom playing with Tucker’s hair and grabbing his shoulders. However, things only escalate from there, with Tom causing a milk jug to float, as well as a gas mask. (Which really creeped us out.)

While we aren’t able to gauge the full viewer reaction to the prank, the little snippets of the chat we are shown show that those watching began to catch on to Tom’s games by the time Tucker magically started wearing numerous pairs of glasses. Like us, they appreciate a harmless, yet hilarious prank like this!
