Carrie Hope Fletcher is set to star as Beth in Jeff Wayne’s The War of the Worlds: The Immersive Experience.
This experience combines the musical with immersive theatre, virtual reality, augmented reality and holograms and gives “audiences the chance to live through the Martian invasion of 1898”.
This will be Carrie’s third time playing the role of Beth, the Parson’s wife. Her first performance of Beth was in 2014 during a hiatus from her role of Éponine in Les Misérables.
She most recently reprised the role of Beth in 2018 for the show’s 40th anniversary tour.
The immersive experience will be 110 minutes with a 20-minute intermission. Visitors will be put in groups of up to 12 people.
The War of the Worlds Immersive Experience will take place in The Old Metal Exchange, 52-56 Leadenhall Street, London. It opens Friday 31 May with ticket prices starting from £39.50 for preview tickets and from £49.50 for general admission.
