Melanie hit her goal of £5000 to fund her new EP in full.
94 backers pledged a total of £5326, beating the original goal of £5000. Melanie Baker’s new EP is to be fully announced later this year with a minimum of five songs on the record and a line of related merchandise.
Melanie originally set out to achieve the £5000 Kickstarter goal because of the financial process of producing her last EP, Dreamer. She remarks in the Kickstarter page that “I invested a lot of my personal savings into the ‘Dreamer’ EP but ultimately I made a few rookie mistakes and lost out on a lot. This time around I have no money but a lot more wisdom in regards to where money is most beneficial, which is why I need YOUR help.”
WE DID IT. 100% funded on my Kickstarter. £5,000 in 30 days to record my new EP. Thank you so much 💛 Still 3 days to…

Melanie makes it transparent where the money raised for her album is going, as well as what backers get in return for their support. According to the Kickstarter, backers could get a variety of rewards, including exclusive merch, a book that takes an in-depth look into each song and the process behind them, and the chance to have Melanie appear to sing at a backer’s house.
So the kickstarter ended today and I am SO stoked to say that we did it!! 107% funded in 30 days! Thank you thank you thank you to everyone for sharing / pledging. Got big plans for the rest of the year so very excited to start recording and releasing new music very soon!! ✨🌙✨
