After watching our favourite YouTubers for what seems like years, we often feel as if we know them like the back of our hands, as if they’re our BFFs. When the Assumptions Tag came around, we were hooked trying to see if what we thought matched the truth, and the tag delivered in good form. That’s why we’ve decided to dedicate a whole Five of the Best to it, tea included!

Just when we thought we couldn’t love everyone’s favourite luxury fashion and beauty YouTuber more, she goes and records a video of herself doing the Assumption Tag, while laying everything on the line. Being her usual honest, adorable, cute self, Victoria Magrath opens up about everything from her relationship to her fashion taste. We also get some insight into her childhood and her experiences growing up, after which we just want to give her a big hug.

If you follow the lovely Amelia Liana, you’ll know she had a whirlwind of a year in 2018 and we learn more about this in her version of the Assumptions Tag. During the video, she spills the tea on her upcoming marriage, growing up and her complicated relationship with food. We find out a lot about her. She touches on religion and her views on motherhood, two topics she usually stays away from online, which was insightful in the best way.

New author Mikhila McDaid sat down and delved deep into the nitty gritty nature of the Assumptions Tag. She touches upon her relationship with money and how it’s changed over time, dieting and living with her parents. Mikhila – or Khila, as her viewers call her – is known for her honesty and not having a filter and this video shows this in the best possible way.

Worried about putting out the wrong vibes, Carly Rowena decided to clear the air by answering her viewers’ assumptions about her. An open book, she discusses everything from fake social media personas to motherhood, as well as having a dark sexual humour. As with all of Carly’s videos, it’s refreshing and a pleasure to watch.

What she thought would be a funny video ended up turning out to be more emotional than Stephanie Elswood imagined as she received people’s assumptions about her. The video really demonstrates how sensitive, yet strong Steph is and it’s humbling to see.

Our Five of the Best: Assumptions Tag videos. It’s been a while since we’ve been so obsessed with a video trend on the old YouTube, but we have to say this is one tag we’ve fallen for, hook, line and sinker.
