Luke Cutforth just might be the UK’s reigning king of creative and absurd YouTube comedy.
With videos spanning from hilarious challenge videos with friends, to comedic song parodies and conspiracy videos about the colour yellow, his channel is certainly one of a kind. You’ll find everything we just mentioned and much more (yes, there’s even more than the yellow conspiracy) in our 10 favourite comedic videos by Luke!
Without further ado, let’s jump into it.
A Song About A Girl
Luke has made many hilarious song parodies throughout his career, but we limited ourselves to just a few picks for this article, starting with the iconic A Song About a Girl. It’s a brilliant satire of pop-punk, while also somehow managing to be a total jam in its own right.
Luke teamed up with his friend and As It Is frontman Patty Walters for true punk authenticity. The song is funny enough on its own, but the enthusiastically over-the-top music video puts A Song About a Girl into a category all its own.
Look What I Do For Views
If there’s one thing YouTubers love, it’s making fun of YouTube. In this parody of Taylor Swift’s Look What You Made Me Do, Luke skewers clickbait, YouTube drama, demonetization and more, all while sporting some killer lipstick.
However, it’s far from an attack video, as he also takes the time to poke fun at himself for doing strange things on camera. Luke sings Look What I Do For Views over a montage of the most bizarre stunts on his YouTube channel, in what’s both a hilarious and also effective look back at some of the funniest moments during the LukeIsNotSexy era of his channel.
Vegans
Hey, everyone, did you know Luke is a vegan?
In a spot-on parody of twenty one pilots’ Heathens, Luke talks about being a vegan while also making fun of the way vegans talk about being so all the time. It’s got layers. It’s also features Luke playing the drums with carrots, which in itself is worth watching for.
The 12 Days Of Snapemas
Some YouTubers feel uncomfortable filming in public, some are fine with it and then there’s Luke. Not only did he write and release an eight-track Christmas EP from the perspective of Snape, he produced a music video for The 12 Days of Snapemas that features him dancing around London in full costume. It’s unclear whether the best part of this video is the song, Luke’s dancing or the reactions of innocent bystanders walking by – it’s all amazing!
Wholesome Q&A With My Granny
In celebration of her birthday, Luke brought his granny onto his channel for a Q&A. First of all, this is too pure for words. Second, it created such iconic quotes as “Is YouTube in the garden?” and “My granny thinks you all come from the street”. Finally, we got to see some exclusive baby photos of Luke, which are totally adorbz!
We wish grandparent Q&As could become the next viral YouTube trend!
Luke & Emma Play Cards Against Humanity!
Luke has made many hilarious videos with Emma Blackery over the years. In the years since they ended their relationship, they’ve shown us that, not only can you be friends with your exes, but you can make irreverent Cards Against Humanity YouTube videos together.
Luke also somehow manages to attack Emma both emotionally, through clips of his mom, and physically, with flying cards. Rest in peace, Emma’s left eye.
The Whisper Challenge
If you’re looking for a Luke and Emma throwback video, you can’t find a much better one than them attempting the whisper challenge. They both take turns trying to read each other’s lips as they say increasingly strange phrases. We learnt two important things from this video:
1) Luke and Emma are not good at reading lips.
2) They have very dirty minds.
HOW TO YOUTUBE
This is the ultimate guide on how to make your very own YouTube channel. It’s an interesting balance between genuinely useful advice and completely roasting popularity on YouTube. It’s truly the best of both worlds – get some laughs AND get some video-making tips.
The Yellow Conspiracy
The Yellow Conspiracy is the completely 100% true story of a man who realised the world around him was filled with yellow and concocts a theory that Universal’s Minions are somehow related to the yellow men, with their yellow cars, who live in yellow houses… And work at Luke’s gym. But the story doesn’t stop there… Watch this video to have your mind expanded.
The Assumptions Tag !!
For this video, Luke asked his audience to make assumptions about him, which he confirmed to be correct or not. He doesn’t exactly answer every question directly – we see you, Luke – however, he does address quite a few with the help of his friends, James and Corry, with plenty of teasing and laughs along the way.
Before you ask, yes, they do address if he smells like milk.
So there you have it…
