Need some new channels to binge as you get back into post-holiday reality? Hannah Witton has got you covered.
To kick off her annual Hanukkah series ‘Vlognukah’, Hannah Witton points us towards some of her favourite disabled YouTubers. Killing not just two, but THREE birds with one stone, this video fell on the first day of Hanukkah (obviously), World Disability Day, and Crohn’s and Colitis Awareness Week, managing to wrap up everything with a nice bow. With 2019 just getting started, why not give it a watch and find some new content for the new year?
Interestingly, as Hannah points out in her video, there is a statistically higher chance of someone suffering from Crohn’s or Colitis if they are of Jewish descent. In the past year, Hannah has opened up about her own personal experience with ulcerative colitis on her channel, so if you would like more information on that, her channel is the perfect place to start! Alternatively, you can visit Crohn’s and Colitis UK for even more info.
Hannah recommends loads of amazing creators in this video to help bulk up your subscription feed for the new year – from Jessica Kellgren-Fozard‘s videos on subjects from deafness to vintage clothing, to Rikki Poynter, creator of fantastic educational content and the reason why Hannah started captioning her own videos in the first place. Some of her other personal favourite members of the community include Lucy Edwards, Annie Elainey, and Espen WaistHighView.
As Hannah mentioned, there were so many more creators recommended in the Twitter thread that sparked this entire video that she didn’t have time to talk about nearly all of them. Check out the thread below to see the full list of recommendations from herself, her friends, and her followers of awesome disabled YouTubers you should be watching!
