Joe and dance partner Dianne Buswell competed against three other duos during the Strictly Come Dancing final.
The final, which aired on 15 December on BBC One, saw Joe go up against ex-Pussycat Doll Ashley Roberts, television presenter Stacey Dooley and Steps singer Faye Tozer.
In a tweet posted before the final, Joe thanked his fans and followers for supporting him throughout his duration on Strictly Come Dancing, saying: “Thanks so much everyone [for] your support, this really has been such a special [three] months for all of us.”

Joe and Dianne performed three different dance routines during the final, earning themselves a total of 116 points from the judges, placing them behind Ashley and Faye, who, with their dance partners, earned 120 points each. After the judges points were tallied, Stacey had earned a total of 114.
For their judge’s choice dance, Joe and Dianne performed the Paso Doble to Bastille’s Pompeii; their show dance was performed to I Bet You Look Good On The Dancefloor by Arctic Monkeys; and they revisited the Charleston for their couple’s choice dance, performing to Rednex’s Cotton Eye Joe.
The show’s winner was determined purely based on public votes, with Stacey taking home the Glitterball Trophy. Ashley, Faye and Joe were named as runners-up.
Upon the airing of the final, Joe’s friends and fellow YouTubers took to Twitter to show their support:
Proud of you bro @Joe_Sugg, what you achieved is incredible.
Just remember,
One Direction didn’t win X Factor,
Susan Boyle didn’t win BGT,
and Gareth Gates didn’t win Pop Idol.— Conor Maynard (@ConorMaynard) December 15, 2018
