Charity, sweet charity!
This year’s rendition of Stand Up to Cancer happened this past weekend, with the television portion being presented by Maya Jama, Adam Hills and Alan Carr. For the fourth straight year, the cancer charity and YouTube collaborated for an online live stream featuring some of your favourite creators, including Hannah Witton, Mark Ferris and Saffron Barker. All in all, the cause has raised over £25 million, a figure that will surely continue to rise in the coming weeks. A remarkable achievement for all involved!
On with the Round-Up!
STOMPING GROUNDS (2018) | Bertie Gilbert
Bertie Gilbert is back with a bang with his new short film. Speaking with FilmFreeway, Bertie says, “At it’s core [Stomping Grounds] is a film about reflection and growth. A cerebral study of someone obsessed with their craft.
“It’s also about important figures in our lives and the lengths we go to keep them around long after they’re gone. Monroe’s entire personality and outlook on success was born out of the respect and reverence he had for his late mother.”
There is no better way to describe the poignant and wonderful experience of watching this film than with a statement from the director himself. Bravo, Bertie, we’ve been waiting for this a long time and it was more than worth the wait.
I Turned Myself Into A Mii… | Sophie Foster
This is one of those videos you don’t realise that you need until it pops up in your subscription box.
Sophie Foster is here to show just what makeup can do! Today, it’s looking like a Mii. Tomorrow, who knows?! We want Sophie to do our makeup for Halloween, especially as we know what our costume should definitely be after watching this tutorial!
We’ll meet you on the golf course, at the bowling alley, on the baseball field, in the boxing ring and on the tennis court – take your pick! We’ve got a game of Wii Sports to win!
The Film | Episode 1 | Two Housemates Series 3 | Sean Joseph Young
Two Housemates is a wonderful series on YouTube and it’s back with the first episode of the third series.
Sean Joseph Young has created something that has fast become a staple of British YouTube and something we all look forward to watching with each released episode. The quality is always to a high standard and this newest instalment is no different! Strap in, press play and enjoy yourself.
David Vujanic – Post & In [S2 E5] | GRM Daily
David Vujanic, noted Liverpool fan, knows his way around a football YouTube video, and is normally seen working with COPA90. However, this time around, he’s with the behemoth that is GRM Daily, doing their Post & In challenge.
David talks a lot about football, but can he play it as well? We’re not giving anything away. You better watch the video to have a look at his skills on the pitch!
Filipino Fast Food in London (Jolibee UK Opening) | Ray Roberts
London is a melting pot of all sorts of different cultures and with that brings the best thing: different types of food!
Ray Roberts is here to show us a genre of food that may be new to a number of people: Filipino! In this video, we learn about a lot of new dishes, vocabulary and much more. Our mouths are watering just thinking about the food we got to see. Here’s hoping they’re on Deliveroo! (Or that our friends will be nice enough to pick us up some the next time they come visit.)
Want more? Well, since you asked so nicely…
Chris Collins is here to show us how to make potato dauphinoise. This is so simple that even the most incompetent of chefs (hands up if that’s you) can follow along. The creamy goodness is all we need to fill our stomachs for the cold nights that are creeping in. Put this one in the oven and prepare for a trip to flavourtown!
Becky James recently spent some time in Glasgow with a group of rapscallions, including Lewis Buchan. This is different type of video from Becky, but it just goes to show that she seems to be good at whatever she throws her hand to, lucky so and so! We’re looking forward to seeing what comes from it in the future.
Eman Kellam is here with a life update, showing us what he’s been up to on and off camera. He’s been up to a lot of different things, so watch the video to find out all he’s been blessing us with recently.
Jack Edwards is making Halloween costumes easier for everyone. Fancy being the Black Eyed Peas? He’s got you covered! Budget is important, as you don’t want to blow a lot of money just before Christmas. Jack is here to help you out!
