Vlogtober, when YouTubers try their hand at daily vlogging.
There’s nothing we love more than a good daily vlog. We don’t know what it is, but it’s always so fascinating seeing what our fave creators get up to on a regular basis – it’s as if we’ve become a fly on the wall. We also love seeing those who don’t normally try their hand at vlogging take on the challenge during months like Vlogtober. Daily vlogs not your thing? Don’t worry, because this time of year also sees many of our faves utilising the full strength of their creativity with daily videos about everything from hauls and favourites videos to so much more. Essentially, Vlogtober is our chance to see just what they can do and we love it!
Here are our Five of the Best: Vlogtober 2018 videos!
BEACH DAY | VLOGTOBER | CORNWALL PT. 4 | Rhiannon Ashlee Vlogs
Kicking off this week’s Five of the Best is Rhiannon Ashlee, with one of her many vlogs about her family’s recent trip to Cornwall. A five-part series (six if you include the one of them heading back home), it’s a video that’s left us desperately wanting to book a trip to the seaside county. Not only does it include tons of adorable clips of her daughter, Delilah, but it leaves us learning that we and Rhiannon share a similar mindset when it comes to travelling. Why vacation during the summer when kids are out of school when you can go in the fall and enjoy not only the lack of crazy crowds, but the gorgeous weather the season has to offer?
Rhiannon is taking a unique approach to Vlogtober, opting to upload videos every other day during the month. Other videos include the exciting announcement that the family will be moving house (we hope she eventually uploads a house tour of the new place!) and a montage of them packing up their things in preparation for the move.
WHAT I WORE IN A WEEK | Hello October Vlogtober | HelloOctoberxo
It wouldn’t be a Vlogtober-themed Five of the Best without including the Queen of October herself, Suzie Bonaldi. Given her channel name is Hello October, we knew her Vlogtober series would be one we simply couldn’t miss!
Suzie has taken an alternative approach to the regular Vlogtober theme. Like many, instead of vlogging her life, she’s making a bunch of videos about a whole range of topics. This specific one sees her sharing with viewers what she wears during the week, and, we’re not going to lie, it’s left us wanting to do some serious shopping. Our favourite items? The fuzzy white sweater and stunning leather jacket. We need them both!
Other videos in Suzie’s Vlogtober collection include a chatty GRWM video, a Q&A that also doubles as a McDonald’s Mukbang (the perfect blend of video ideas) and a handful of haul videos!
VLOGTOBER 5 – FRIGHT NIGHT | ANDERZ VLOGS
Helen Anderson‘s vlogs are always some of the most aesthetically pleasing on YouTube. We don’t know what sort of filter or colour grading techniques she uses, but they always looks so pretty and we’re often left envious of her editing skills.
For this Vlogtober entry, she’s taking viewers on a frightening night filled with ghouls and scary creatures. Yep, that’s right, she and her friends took a trip to Thorpe Park for its annual Fright Nights event and got up to all sorts of mischief. What sort of mischief? Watch the vlog and find out! We aren’t going to spoil a thing. We are, however, going to book an office trip to Thorpe Park this weekend – we need a good scaring!
Helen’s Vlogtober videos allow us a sneak peek into what she gets up to in her day-to-day life. We love how honest she gets in them, and we look forward to seeing how the rest of the month pans out for her!
VLOGTOBER 2018 #6: BOOK HAUL | sunbeamsjess
Who doesn’t love a good book haul? If you’re a literature fan like us here at TenEighty HQ, then we can almost guarantee you’ve already seen this Vlogtober entry from sunbeamsjess. If not, we suggest grabbing a pen and paper and jotting down some of titles she mentions – you’ll definitely want to pick a few of these up the next time you’re at Waterstones or WHSmith. Some are classics, like John Steinbeck’s Of Mice & Men and Ray Bradbury’s Fahrenheit 451, while others are new, like Sally Rooney’s Normal People.
Jessie’s Vlogtober videos don’t just stop at book hauls. They also include an OOTD video and a handful of daily vlogs that allow viewers a sneak peek into her day-to-day life.
FRIENDSGIVING | VLOGTOBER 6 | Estée Lalonde
Closing out this week’s Five of the Best is Estée Lalonde, who decided to bring Thanksgiving to the UK in this very special Vlogtober video.
Regular viewers of Estée’s channel will know the beauty and fashion vlogger is originally from Canada, which celebrated Thanksgiving earlier this month. However, since she couldn’t be home with family to celebrate, she decided to do her own celebration right here in the UK, complete with oodles of good food (just look at all that pumpkin pie!) and tons of good friends. Not only did it leave our mouth’s watering, but our hearts big. We think Friendsgiving should become an annual trend for the whole country!
Other videos in Estée’s Vlogtober series include one of her celebrating her dog’s birthday (sooooo cute) and others of her going about her day-to-day routine. There are many times she gets real with her viewers and we’re loving the honesty!
So there you have it…
Our Five of the Best: Vlogtober 2018 videos! We hope they’ve inspired you to pick up a camera and give daily vlogging a try! It’s a lot of work, but oh, so rewarding, and we hope you’ll share your creations with us and the YouTube community. Who knows, you might be featured in a future Five of the Best!
