Close the curtains and light a few candles, it’s time to talk about all things paranormal!
We’re aware of the reputation story time videos have on YouTube. From their clickbait-y titles to the way in which those who make them tell the stories (some can be pretty overdramatic), they’re videos that leave viewers with mixed opinions. However, we have to admit, there are some subsections within the genre that suck us in and leave us transfixed. For us here at TenEighty HQ, those are the story times that delve into the supernatural.
Given it’s October, a time for all things creepy and scary, we thought we’d help you all start getting into the Halloween spirit by sharing a few story time videos that are guaranteed to make your skin crawl and leave you afraid to fall asleep at night. These stories aren’t for the faint of heart, so we urge you to have your wits about you before jumping into our Five of the Best: Spooky Story Time Videos!
Babysitting with a ghost || Paranormal Story time | Harmony Nice
There’s no better way to start off this spooky video than with the Queen of Paranormal Story Times herself, Harmony Nice. In this video, she shares with us three spine-chilling tales from her time as a babysitter.
We won’t go too into detail about the stories Harmony tells, as we don’t want to spoil anything, but we will say this: if we’d experienced all she did while babysitting, then we probably definitely would have never ever agreed to do it again. From the weird knocking noises and the creepy reflection in the window, to a door somehow opening all by itself (how?!), it’s safe to say we would have been turned off babysitting for life – and trust us, that’s saying something because we already don’t like babysitting other peoples’ kids to begin with.
MY PARANORMAL EXPERIENCE. HOW I/MY LIFE/MY HOUSE BECAME HAUNTED STORYTIME | Lucy Flight
Just like most paranormal believers, Lucy Flight didn’t start believing until she experienced unusual things for herself… And these unusual things are going to leave you with nightmares!
If you’ve ever had the (dis)pleasure of seeing an apparition in person, then you’ll know just how scary the experience can be. You’re so sure the person you’re seeing is real… until they disappear into thin air. That’s what Lucy has had to contend with her whole life, as she’s one of those people who attracts spirits. The spirit she has following her around is that of a young girl, who she has seen at various times throughout her life, as well as having experienced unexplained breezes and weird smells. This video made us thankful we don’t attract spirits – we don’t think we could handle it!
MY HAUNTED HOUSE | STORY TIME | Josephine Bongani
Sometimes hauntings take a personal turn, with loved ones who have passed way being responsible for the paranormal activity we’re experiencing. That’s exactly what Josephine Bongani has had to deal with.
Josephine is living in what we can definitely say is a haunted house. While she doesn’t go too much into detail on who the person haunting her is, she openly explains the odd occurrences that have happened around her. From the commonly seen orbs of light to random puffs of smoke and odd sounds, it seems there’s definitely something up in this house. While we wouldn’t say the haunting Josephine’s experiencing is menacing or dangerous, it definitely is eerie and we can understand why she’s feeling a bit creeped out!
STORY TIME: GHOST IN MY BED! (Scariest Paranormal Experience) | Hannah Leigh
You know what’s worse than having your house haunted by a ghost? Having said ghost in your bed. That’s something Hannah Leigh unfortunately had to experience on her last night staying at her parents’ house.
Now, we’re still trying to figure out how Hannah stayed calm during this encounter, because we would have surely freaked out – and by freaked out, we mean run out of the room screaming until our parents awoke to comfort us. The story goes likes this: Hannah was asleep when she woke up to see a figure sitting over her. She goes to touch its back, except her hands go right through and become bathed in this inexplicable coldness. Again, how was she not screaming with fright? And, more importantly, how was she able to fall back asleep?!
I’m Being Haunted. Story Time. | Danielle Mansutti
Closing out this spine-chilling Five of the Best is this spooky story time from none other than Danielle Mansutti, whose paranormal experiences are some of the most extreme we’ve ever heard!
Danielle is no stranger to the paranormal, having had encounters with the spirit of a little girl while she was growing up, but her most recent experiences are some of the scariest we’ve read. While she admits some of what she felt could have been heightened by stress, there’s no denying there’s a presence in her flat. She describes this presence as an eight foot tall male who constantly haunts her, leading to sleep paralysis and incidents of her being choked in her sleep! We’re left wondering how she hasn’t moved yet – we’d be out the door faster than you could say “boo” – and we hope the haunting has let up, if even a little bit. No one should have to go through what Danielle’s had to deal with.
