Bradley Cooper will win the Oscar for Best Actor this year.

It’ll be one of the best things you’ll do all week, guaranteed. Since we’re so eager for your to give it a watch, we’ll stop holding you up – on with the Round-Up!
Trying out the National Theatre’s new subtitles glasses! | Liam O’Dell
There are many ways in which the deaf can enjoy film and television experiences, with subtitles and signing, to name a few. However, theatre has been lacking in ways in which to cater to the community, with signed performances being a rare thing. Liam O’Dell is part of the deaf/hard of hearing community and went along to the National Theatre to try out the subtitling glasses they’re currently trialling.
It really is wonderful to see an effort being made to make theatre more inclusive. Watch the video to really get into what Liam thought about this piece of kit.
MEETING JK ROWLING – New York | Cherry Wallis
For everyone unaware, Cherry Wallis is Harry Potter mad, in the best possible way. So, as you may have guessed from the title, she’s had a pretty good time as of late. She got to meet the Queen of Magic herself, Joanne (the K is made up) Rowling.
Alongside just meeting her and, rightly, losing it, she got to fly to New York and watch The Cursed Child on Broadway. Talk about dream vacation! We are incredibly jealous of Cherry and it couldn’t have happened to a nicer creator. We look forward to the collab video in the future!
law student reacts to LEGALLY BLONDE | Eve Cornwell
Films are notorious for their inaccuracies about all manner of things, including what actually happened during the true, real life story – see The Social Network. Eve Cornwell is here to check in with Legally Blonde to see if the accuracy of practicing law is there in the seminal comedy classic. All hail Reese Witherspoon!
Watch to see what Eve thinks!
The other day I read for 6 hours in a row | Rosianna Halse Rojas
Rosianna Halse Rojas is one busy lady and has had a summer filled with all sorts of different activities to prove it.
In this video, she talks to us about her Saturday, in which she found herself with six hours to just read. Now, that is a specific type of bliss we find ourselves being incredibly jealous of. She talks about the three different books she read part of or all of in this time. Patrick Ness knows his way around a story, so we’ll be putting Release in our Amazon basket, right now!
“The WORST pies in the football league?” Reading FC | #TFR92 SE1 EP1 | The Football Republic
In the newest series on The Football Republic, Tom Norris and his gang of merry men are visiting each and every football ground in the English professional league. Yes, all 92 of them. First to be put under the microscope is Reading FC.
Just off the A33, it’s a modern-looking stadium, but will the amenities hold up under scrutiny? Something tells us the food options aren’t exactly topnotch. We’re looking forward to seeing more in this series, and we’d love to join the boys when they get around to doing Anfield!
Want more? Well, since you asked…
Jamie Raines is here with a video of him reacting to pictures of himself before his transition. There are all sorts of pictures in this one, including ones from prom. It’s an interesting video to watch, especially for anyone who doesn’t know anyone who’s experienced gender dysphoria. It’s one that shows YouTube to be a platform for everyone – a special, inclusive space.
When moving house, EVERYTHING is stressful. Elle Darby has done just that very thing. It’s been a couple of weeks and she’s found herself some time to do the deepest of cleans of the new place. There’s something very comforting about watching someone clean – it’s so incredibly satisfying. Let’s all go and clean our places, shall we? Elle, you’ve inspired us all!
Jay of eataliens is here to talk to us about television. Good television, to be exact. She gives us her list of five great shows to watch. We won’t spoil them, but we will vouch for them all being wonderfully good! Jay’s taste is wonderful and should be seen as such.
Tom Burns is a big fan of all things superhero-related, The Flash and Superman especially. One thing we didn’t know about him is his newfound love of super villains, which he gets into in his latest video. This love has come about due to him playing the Lego DC Super Villains game early as part of his trip to WB Games in Los Angeles. Along with playing the game, he also got to visit DC Studios and see the Warner Bros Studio tour! We’ll stow away in your suitcase next time, Tom!
