It’s time to fall into autumn with this selection of videos.
Is there anyone else who loves this time of year? Sure, summer is a time for sunshine and picnics with friends, but there’s something about autumn that makes it the best season. Not only is it home to the spookiest of days, it’s also a time for apple cinnamon-scented candles and endless cups of pumpkin spice lattes.
We’re not the only ones who are huge fans of autumn. Many of our favourite YouTubers also hold it as their favourite season. In fact, they love it so much that they dedicate whole videos (and even full series!) to it. That’s why we’ve once again decided to dedicate an entire Five of the Best to them. Without further ado, here’s our Five MORE of the Best: All About Autumn!
Letters To Autumn | Carrie Hope Fletcher
Carrie Hope Fletcher has always had a way with words, something that makes us endlessly jealous and in awe of her talent, and one such example of her poetic prowess was her Letters To Autumn series. Inspired by Emily Diana Ruth‘s Letters To July, it consisted of 31 videos and left us feeling a creative spark.
Throughout the series, we saw Carrie sharing what she likes most about the season while also filling viewers in on what was happening in her life. All the videos in it are poetic gold and we found listening to Carrie’s voice so soothing – we could listen to her speak all day. Paired with clips of her daily life, Letters to Autumn is by far one of the our favourite series on Carrie’s channel and we hope she does something similar to it again in the future.
Fireside ASMR – Face Brushing, Close Up Whispering, Ear Tapping, Fire Crackling, Crunchy Leaves | ASMRMagic
Fans of ASMR will be pleased to know there are endless videos on YouTube related to autumn. Out of the ones available, our favourite by far would be this one by ASMRMagic, which clocks in at over an hour long! Honestly, it’s our ASMR dream.
What we love most about ASMR is the spine tingling feelings we get whilst watching and this video is filled to the brim with sounds that’ll elicit such feelings. With the crackling of a warm fire, the crinkling of autumn leaves, the rustling of acorns and copious amounts of tapping and scratching sounds, we were left feeling so relaxed we spent the rest of the day incapable of doing any work. You can bet this is a video we’ll be revisiting in the future.
EASY FLAWLESS FALL / AUTUMN MAKEUP LOOK | dark skin friendly | GiGi Beauty
One of our favourite things about autumn is being able to change our makeup looks for the new season. However, we wouldn’t say we’re the most creative when it comes to beauty, which is why we’re thankful to have creators like Gabrielle Sterling to give us some major inspo into what look to rock this crisp season.
In this makeup tutorial, Gabrielle presents viewers with a nice and easy makeup look, with its centrepiece being a signature bold lip. A bold lip is needed for any autumn-themed look and with a name like chestnut, this shade is sure to fit the season just right. Overall, we love the finished product and how flawless Gabrielle looks, and you can bet we’ll be taking some pointers from her to ensure our own fall looks are as spot on as hers!
AUTUMN MADNESS WITH ZOE | Mark Ferris
We couldn’t write a Five of the Best about autumn without including a daily vlog. Our pick? This vlog featuring the season’s biggest fan, Mark Ferris, with a dash of Zoe Sugg to complete it!
In this video, Mark and Zoe embark on their annual autumn outing, where they prepare for the season and all the spookiness that comes with it. We loved watching the shenanigans these two got up to, from picking out pumpkins at a local farm to their shopping adventures at Haskins. However, we do question why the shop already has its Christmas decorations out – it’s only October! To top the vlog off, we loved the look Zoe was rocking. Her glasses and brown sweater scream “autumn” and you can bet we’ll be rocking a similar style in the near future.
Decorate & DIY with Me for Autumn 2018 | Budget Home Decorating Tips | Hermione Chantal
The best thing about the change in season is getting to decorate our flats to match. However, we’re aware buying new decor can get pretty expensive. That’s why we’re glad we have Hermione Chantal to show us some cheap DIY hacks to help make our place decked out for the fall without hurting our wallets!
Hermione offers up a variety of tips in this video, like using items we already own and picking up items that are neutral in colour, so they can be used for more than one season. She suggests looking through thrift shops for unique and cheap items, and her idea of adding texture to make rooms feel more inviting is something we’ll be using long after fall has gone. As well, her handmade signs and DIY pumpkins have left us with an itch to create, and you can bet we’ll be attempting to recreate the plush pumpkin she made toward the end of the video.
So there you have it…
Our Five More of the Best: All About Autumn! If this article doesn’t show how much our faves love this season, we don’t know what will! We hope it got you into the autumnal spirit and showed you exactly why it’s the best season of them all! Now, if you’ll excuse us, there’s a pile of leaves outside the office just waiting to be jumped in.
