The fact it’s already August is terrifying.
This past Friday will forever be known as #SweetnerFriday to signify the release of Ariana Grande’s latest album, Sweetner, which features appearances from Pharrell, Nicki Minaj and Missy Elliott. (We know, it’s quite a lineup.) It’s a wonderful pop album that could quite possibly be the best of 2018 thus far, with our personal highlights being breathin, God is a woman and everytime.
But enough about Ariana Grande – on to the Round-up!
what really happened at Summer In The City | bambinobecky
Each year, Summer in the City is a rollercoaster of emotions for everyone involved: fan, creator, FOMO-haver, etc. Becky James is one of those creators who jumped headfirst into the anarchy that is SitC, meeting tons of people, doing panels and afterpartying. There is an added factor this time around, which doesn’t need to be mentioned explicitly.
This video has it all and is a wonderful portrayal of a creator on the rise adapting to the new found level of success manifesting itself in front of their eyes.

How The Premier League Was Founded | SPORF
The new football season is underway and the behemoth of the Premier League is in full force. However, English football hasn’t always been so great, as the lads over at SPORF explain in this educational video.
The 1980s were a rough time for everyone involved, and it wasn’t until the 1990s and England’s entry into the World Cup semi-final that things started to change and get better. The money then comes in and it all snowballs, which brings us to nearly £6 billion for TV rights for the next five years.
Very interesting stuff, especially if you’re a football fan!
