“It’s always important to show appreciation to the people that are continuously showing you support.”
YouTube has played a massive part in Sam Carr‘s life and it’s helped to shape who he is as a person. We get an insight into what the platform means to him, what he’s got out of his time on YouTube, and more in his documentary, UPLOADING.
Over the years, YouTube has become a massive part of a lot of creators’ lives- it’s changed people, it’s helped to shape them, and it’s given them opportunities that they never thought would be possible before this.
Sam documents the progress he’s made over time and, in this video, he shares that “I never used to be able to do public speaking at school. I used to get so nervous and anxious about that, but it’s weird how to look into a camera kind of makes you feel really confident.” He gives us a deeper insight into how this platform can help people grow as a person.
He’s covered a lot of the world on various adventures and he speaks about how being a creator has given him opportunities that he never even thought about doing before. In 2017, he went on a journey across the deep south of the USA with other creators through a company called Trek America: “I would never have thought to go to those places at all and the whole trip was just insane. It’s experiences like that, I’m just like blown away by how this happened.”
Early in 2018, he attended the UK Blog Awards, as he was nominated as a finalist in the social influencer category. Speaking about this, he describes it as “really, really cool and I wouldn’t be able to have that dream if it wasn’t for the people that continuously support me. I wouldn’t be anywhere without them.”
We’re always excited for Sam’s content and we’re excited to see what the future holds for his channel!
