Sometimes it takes a lifetime to know somebody but sometimes it just takes a few fatefully aligned moments.
Through exploring the south coast of England, Shu-Shi Lin shows us the importance of spending time with friends and living in the present moment.
This love letter to friendship starts with Shu opening up about girls holiday in Antigua a few weeks ago and how it brought her and her two friends, Kim and Elly, together.
In some beautiful montage footage, we get some wonderful views of the south coast of England. The area looks beautiful and is definitely on our travel bucket list now. We see the trio eating pasta and wandering down country lanes while Shu talks about how nostalgic visiting the place she grew up was.
“I was searching for a shadow of who I used to be, a glimmer of a young me I could lift up and say ‘it will get better – just wait and see’,” Shu says, something we can definitely resonate with. Growing up can often feel very intense and in some cases, looking back, we can realise something we thought was the end of the world was actually nothing to worry about in the grand scheme of things.
She also mentions switching off and the peaceful atmosphere of the countryside. While capturing the special day, Shu says that they went “in search of viewpoints, beaches and the kind of serenity you just can’t find in London.” Fresh air and country views are hard to come by in the city (trust us, we have tried) so we can only imagine how magical this day was for the three friends.
As Shu said, this was “a seaside escape I will always remember,” and it was a privilege to see a glimpse of it!
